Actually.. there are no tracks leading up to five feet from where she stood and then ran from. It really is like she just "appeared".. Depending on who or what she is, there could be a sensible explanation, but until I know who it is, that might not make any sense. Arachnia's Manse travels, yeah, though I've never seen how. Whether it glides, floats, etcetera..
*Lirimana stroked her chin with an index finger as she thought about it for a moment*
Thinking about it, tracing the trail backwards from the first set of prints would lead to a wall between perimeter Manses with no cities getting in the way.. Demon strikes? How far in the past were they, Quar Zagot?
*looking towards Dal'Lumen she nodded*
And if you want to ask Sentinel, please do

*Quar looked up in the sky, scanning all about before pointing his barbed tail North East*
" There! it was there! I saw the floating Manse there! I have heard of them being elsewhere.. but for most of my Jokun life, I was underground.
The demon strike? it was in the city now known as Bezair, maybe a thousand years ago?. They destroyed the three manses at the perimeter and were closing in on the living quarters... thats when I was summoned and saw the shield go up. The Demons began wearing away at it and the city's guard were prepared for it to fall.. and when it did, I joint the fight along with the city guard... until the Gunzosha warriors and Dragon-Blooded arrived. That pushed them back very well... until Bo-Ki-Sa-Chi and his Solar allies came and destroyed them all in a matter of moments... the whole fight took about a week to go through. It was then, I knew Bo-Ki-Sa-Chi was more than a distant ruler.. but someone who cared... someone I needed to help protect."
* The dragon looked nostalgic for a moment, then reared back onto his back two sets of legs, looking out over the two tiny Solars, smirking as he reviled in being a dragon*

Dal Lumen remained thoughtful for a moment, his eyes gazed off into the distance as his mind picked through the scanty information at hand. Why would this person have been here, and where had they come from.
"Quar, when did you say you saw these flying manses, and how do you suspect that the demon attack and these manses are related to our current situation?"
*Turning around in place as to face and speak to someone the others could not perceive, a theory came to his whirring mind.*
"Sentinel, what can you tell me about Arachnias manse, who has access to use it, where has it been in the last couple of weeks, more specifically has it been here."

* Quar looked down at Dal from his high roost on his back two legs. Slowly, the sectioned serpent lowered onto all six legs* " the demon strike? About a thousand years ago... and as for flying manses....."
* Quar looked up into the sky, then tilted his head to the side*
" They should still be up there..... I couldn't tell you if the strike so long ago has anything to do with this... we killed off each and every one... but then again... thats only as far as we knew... but the Solars who used to run here were very good at tracking and killing off demons"
* The glowing figure that stood next to Dal brought his golden hand to his chin as he began remembering again what it was that made Arachnia's manse so special*
" Well... it so happens that Arachnia's manse is a shape shifter just like its owner. One form is a Factory-Cathedral... another is a mobile weapon.. yet another is a sophisticated hospital-lab and the final...
* he blinked his eyes a few times, then closed them, straining to remember what it was... and as he strained, his form became scratchy and began breaking. like a program with a bad command prompt*

*Lirimana thought back, trying to find some sort of a connection to flying Manses, demons and wheat. And found absolutely nothing. She kept coming up with situations where there was no information other than a stretch of something past. If Sentinel wouldn't tell her anything then she didn't know where to go. Her dreams only told her so much and she'd only had one throughout this whole time. How unhelpful. The Twilight also turned in the direction that Dal'Lumen was looking and addressed the Sentinel she could not yet see*
Since Quar mentioned this, maybe you can tell me more of the situation, Sentinel. And don't tell me that you don't know, because I know better than that. What happened in the event of the demon slaughter and how does that correlate with the flying Manses? Could there be some sort of being that lived or once lived on them? A demonic servant or illegitimate offspring, perhaps?

"Sentinel... Sentinel are you alright, whats going on? What is the final form Sentinel?! What about the travel log, is there anything like that?"
Dal cocked his head and shoulders back to see Lirimana who seemed to be trying to further question the failing Sentinel.
"Somethings wrong, it looks like some of the information about Arachnias manse is causing problems for Sentinel, perhaps it is even blocked from his knowledge. We may have better luck speaking to the other one, Zeriku was it?"
The echo of something Lirimana had just said suddenly reverberated back to his mind. There was a very real chance that if there were manses up there somewhere, that something could have lived there all this time, completely isolated and untouched.
"Do you really think something could be up there?"

* Sentinel opened his eyes and swayed a bit, before coming back together and shaking his head slowly.*
" Corrupt data.. unable to retrieve requested information... shoot... something has been tampered with in the Empire's geometry..."
* Sentinel sighed and turned his gaze back to Dal.*
"As far as where The Empress' Manse has been, no, it has not been here in the last thousand years. Currently, only Ress and Arachnia are attuned to the Empress' manse... and...man-...ses up there?.... I-... Thi-...Nk..........Remember-...ng."
* Sentinel's form once more became scratchy and full of static. his voice failing much the same, sounding almost demonic as he spoke.*
" Y-...E-...S!-...... they.... up there!!... since.... Cre-...ation! Righteous!.....Demons..Slaughtered..all..I-... Kept-.....Book..... sent... to.......nor-............................................."
* The form of Sentinel fell over onto the manse floor, then disappeared, no longer able to hold himself together and simply crashed.*

"Sentinel! dammit... Sentinel disengage yourself from that last quarry!"
Dal Spun around again and faced Lirimana, with a rare look of worry upon his face.
"The information we need from Sentinel has been corrupted by someone or something... I don't know how, hes just disappeared and I don't know what condition he is in now."
Gazing up to the sky as he looked for the manses suspended in their eternal sky bound haven, he spoke slowly, drinking in each word with the most ethereal care.
"They are up there, since creation... Righteous... The demons slaughtered them all, but a book. A book was sent, to the north?"
He shook his head slowly, what could this mean?
"we should get a hold of Zeriku, perhaps she can help fill in the voids what Sentinel could not. You may find yourself on a book hunt..."

*Lirimana blinked as Sentinel started short-circuiting and sighed. She hadn't even gotten to finish talking to him. Personally, Lirimana wasn't concerned for Sentinel, she knew he was hardier than to fall prey to some minor location bug. He'd be fine later after a good rest. Unfortunately, that put him out of commission for awhile*
Since Creation isn't feasible, unless there are Hungry Dreams up there. Or Fair Folk, if you prefer that term better. And it could be that the Demons slaughtered all of something or that all of the Demons were slaughtered. The book does sound promising, though there are more than just "North" that could work. "Nor" could be the beginning of a person's name or even the fragment or whole city name. Perhaps even a Manse, Manses used to have names. If it's a book hunt we have then it's a book hunt I will do. Besides, finding things is a specialty of mine. I think we should get the bloodsucker here so she can answer some questions and tell us what she's found. Same goes for our silent giant

*The spider gave it a few days so that they could all arrive and get their jobs done, their hatchling the slowest of the group taking the most time. Pulling up their location on her map in the manse's control room showed her where they were and decided to pay them a visit. It didn't look like Towering Oak was there yet, but he would meet up with them. It took a few minutes to transition over to the manse nearest the little group, but it was a lot easier than flying the whole way herself. Time is blood as they say..Off in the distance, next to the nearest manse in walking distance another huge building appeared. Arachnia stepped out, unseen by the others just yet. She cocked her head to the side and melted into a silver mold that shrunk down and became more avian, solidifying a few moments later into a large black bird with a scruffy throat. Beating her wings, Arachnia leapt off of the ground and flew towards the others, covering ground faster than one would attribute to the wingbeats of the raven. Soon she was in the vicinity and touched down to shift back into her human shape, brushing out the last few feathers that sunk into being her ebon locks. Her face, had it not held a sexy smirk at neutral would have been without expression. Her eyes sparkled, though only the most perceptive would notice that it was more for appearance than because of heart. She didn't feel defeated, but she was aware of how near the trial was growing, and she didn't like it. She missed her Mate..*
Lovely afternoon, darlings. Is this an intimate meeting?

Lowering his gaze to Lirimana he chuckled, which was followed by a sigh and a shaking head.
"Whatever it may be, we will need more than speculation before we bring this to trial... not to mention find proof that this has something to do with the events surrounding Emperor Ress."
The form of a Large black raven caught his eye as he watched it beat its wings and glide towards them. He watched it from behind a corner eyed gaze as he pondered over what had been discovered so far, at the back of his mind the thought of Tari and Roaring Wave tugged at him, reminding him that many things still remained to be done.
Seeing the Raven heading directly for them now not far away from passing them by, as one would expect. Remarkably it came down to land right next to them which surprised Dal before it became clear why it had been so bold.
"Ah, Empress It is good to see you are well enough! Have you had much luck uncovering any of this mystery?" He said after giving a respectful bow, palms pressed together in front of him.

We'll have to find some way to fly up to the Manses and find out. Do we know anyone who can fly?
*Lirimana looked to Quar and then to Dal'Lumen noticing Dal'Lumen's distracted gaze and looked to see the raven coming toward them. As most people would consider, she thought nothing of it since ravens were a common bird, especially near cities. As it landed, however, she looked specifically at the avian with a raised brow, could it be a familiar of sorts? Something more? And as it turned silver and became Arachnia she sighed a little internally. It was important for her to be here, but Lirimana couldn't help but feel disappointed that she was. She offered a nod to the spider, not taking her eyes away in case something was to be seen on her*

*Such a warm reception, she couldn't help but let her lip curl just a little more into a smile. Of course, their hatchling's contempt was her favorite. And their Zenith bowed to her.. perhaps she would like him after all. Respect from a Solar who doesn't know her, how quaint and appropriate. Of course, he could simply be sucking up, which was fine coming from a human. It just so happened that he wasn't.. These things could be thought on later, for now she had business to attend to. A hand rested on her hip with her elbow bent as she looked from each face*
I would suppose that it isn't
*the Widow giggled a little and raised a brow at Quar, wondering why he was so silent*
I have spoken with the Bloody Hands and Oce-Earin, the spirit that resides over our corn fields. He was utterly useless, however, the Old One of the Bloody Hands was considerably more informative. The youth of his kind are as entranced with the murders as ours are with wealth and power, so there was little to be had there, either. The Old One said that he saw Ress firing the arrows from Reign of Ress, that he fired so many that he had to call Bo-Ki-Sa-Chi for more. When he had finished, Ress stated "Got 'em" with a smile. He also noted that you, Quar Zagot, had run by with a large swath of wheat in your scales. If you would be so kind as to tell me why you were running by the Imperial Manse carrying wheat, it would be appreciated
*She gave Quar an appraising look, having not spoken to him in awhile*
Has anyone spoken to Towering Oak about questioning Mayli? I haven't seen him myself, I was considering looking for him. And I presume that you have both fulfilled your duties to speak with your respective field gods?
*Arachnia knew she was being a bit demanding, but she was in charge in Ress's absence and down-to-business was just how it turned out for now. She kept her smile intact as she spoke, gesticulating casually now and again while she did so*

* While Quar was silent, he was hunkered down, laying on his stomach while his six legs were curled under him. When he was addressed by arachnia, he got back to his feet and broke his silence*
" Wheat? It simply got caught in my scales as I was running... I seemed to have picked it up right here"
* With one of his clawed hands, he pointed to the still remaining 'X' upon the ground*
" It disappeared not long after I finnished running, and we do not know where it went..... Oh, And Lirimana!"
* He turned to the Twilingt once more, putting all six feet back onto the ground*
" Both Empress Arachnia and myself can fly!.... well.. I assume I can fly.. I have heard stories of dragons flying, but have never done it myself"

*Lirimana shook her head and looked between Arachnia and Quar Zagot. A laugh danced about her lips but managed to keep itself from leaping off and into the air*
Sorry Quar, but it looks like you'll be the one doing the flying, ravens are nice but they can't hold a person. They're just a busybody bird made for picking through garbage
*the Twilight kept the tone of her words informational while the final corner of her lip shot the comment to whom it was aimed at*
You'll be much more useful, Quar. I'm sure that you can fly, I've heard of it being done and you're strong enough to carry at least a few of us
