* Honored brother turned three hundred and sixty degrees, watching out for the spacing of buildings, placement of roads and the people who lived here.. majority of which were westerners.
He took in what Dal said, noticing the emphasis he put on food and drink... but even more so, the emotional weight he put behind the comment of abolishing slavery. This was interesting to say the least.. an anathema bent on people being free?*
" I see... that is a tall order you are putting on your city. There is much growth ahead if you seek to rival the cultural might of Halta.. or the religious strength of Great Forks, and as far as trade goes, Nexus is the one to rival... but of course those are Scavenger Land cities....
for better or for worse, The Blessed Isle outstrips any nation on the face of creation."
* Honored Brother nodded, heaving a small sigh as he grabbed the drum that he had previously strapped to his hip and began beating it softly*
" You may find purchase with Lookshy then... that is a powerful nation that hates slavery as well... if that is your goal, you may want to get them involved"
* Mild Magma took up his drum as well and beat it in rhythm with Honored Brother*
" The Traitors in Lookshy are also a power to be reckoned with... they did win their independence from The Realm"

*As if spurred on by the drum roll Dal puffed out his chest and proclaimed.*
"Oh, make no mistake! Beziar is not alone, we have the full strength of the Unconquered Sun and the great Empire Imperveress behind us! Failure's impossible, victory is assured, and freedom is the birthright of every man woman and child in creation!
I have heard much about lookshy and I would very much like to build a relationship with them."
*He looked down at the drums in each mans hand with a little curiosity, what had been a few moments before an ironic opportunity to give an inspirational speech and now become a little strange.*
"So I must ask, what is with the drumming?"

* Honored brother laughed at Dal's fervor, giving yet another nod as he continued to drum.*
" Very good... a hot fire is needed to warm a city... just be careful not to burn it down with that same flame.
Why the drumming? Tradition mostly. When in public, us monks drum.
Many times its during protests, or during festivals, but we also drum during pilgrimage... and since we are always traveling, we make good use of our drums."
" They are also a comforting sound. I like to think that the sound of drums played like this helps people to forget their troubles"
* Mild Magma beat his drum in sync with Honored Brother's.
Unlike before, Mild Magma now looked like a monk. His features as tranquil and stony as Honored Brother usually was."
" It seems there may be hope for you yet, Mild Magma... There is indeed a transcendence that goes with the sound of drumming... which is why it aids so well with meditation.
So, Admiral Dal'Lumen... what else does your city have to offer?"

"Interesting technique, I had a theory that perhaps you had simply trained your mind to respond to the sound of drumming in that way... Ah - But none the less! we now fit in a little better now that you carry and play musical instruments, perhaps I should start singing to complete our disguise! Haha! I know a few sea shanty's!"
*He pointed out in the direction of the temple... or perhaps the River or perhaps something further, as it was difficult to tell with all things being in line.*
"How's your Old Realm? There is a very special place you might like to visit!"

" Somewhere special huh? Yes, both Mild Magma and myself are fluent in Old Realm... why do you ask? are you taking us to a local god of great note?"
* Honored Brother beat hi drum slower as he spoke, looking out in the direction Dal was pointing, assuming it was indeed the temple that he gestured to*
* Hearing Honored Brother slow his drumming, Mild Magma slowed down to match, also looking out to the temple. The thought of direct worship of a god was an alien concept to him... gods were to be revered only as necessary, so the immaculate order said*

"I think you will be interested to meet a race of beings that has lived for generations on the bottom of the Gray river just off shore. They have an interesting perspective on the world. It's also my understanding that Solars were responsible for creating these beings thousands of years ago... In spite of that, I don't think they have a biased opinion, but they do have a good vantage point on the entire history of Solars of this empire..."
*Dal reached out, slowly enough as to not startle anybody and thumped Honored Brother on the shoulder, coaxing him to follow as Dal walked away in the direction of the river. It wasn't a terribly long trip, as they were within eye shot of the river and marina.*
"Oh, and come to think of it, while we're in the neighborhood, I could have you meet some of the local Dragon blooded that serve under my leadership. I can have one or two meet us at the floating city."
*Without waiting for a response from honored brother Dal looked up at the sky, put his fingers to his lips and let loose a sonic boom of a whistle that left most of the city center staring wide eyed in their direction. Dal smiled warmly and waved at everyone to set them at ease. He had never tried this before, but he had three times the normal portion of essence into that whistle and hoped that would call down a trio of Cumulus Elementals to taxi them to their destination over the water. Dal wondered if perhaps by some freak chance this extra umph would have unexpected consequences, perhaps a giant cumulus would come flying down from the sky!
Dal put his hands on his chin with a grin at this thought, and next he called out to Sentinel.*
"Sentinel please notify Roaring Wave and Tari that I would like them to meet up with me when they are available in the River Peoples City. Let them know that this is a casual invitation if you would, Thank you!"
*Dal looked up at the sky with a knowing smile, waiting expectantly.*

" Ancient Race? Living under water?" * Honored Brother looked down at Mild Magma, then back to Dal Lumen, following him in puzzled silence until they reached the sister city*
" So there are Dragons in each city? I see..." * It was hard to place where Honored Brother's mind was, weather he was disgusted that there would be dragons willingly living here, or interested to see who they were and how they worked in relation with each other.
He took a step back when Dal let out a whistle wondering what this might be... then puzzled even more when he realized three clouds floated down before them*
"... What are these?... I am not familiar with this sort of elemental"
* Mild magma backed away from the cloud, not sure what to think of them, but feeling a more hands off approach would be the way to go, just incase. It was not until Sentinel's token click shot through the area did Mild Magma move once more.. this time in the form of a leap of start*
"Message has been sent, Admiral Dal'Lumen. Both Tari and Roaring Wave are making their way to the city at once"

"Hop on, they won't hurt you, they will get us there much more quickly... unless you would rather try to hitch a ride on a fishing barge?"
*Dal grinned, stepping up onto the cumulus and sitting down cross legged on top of it, with a contented look on his face.*
"Once you gain your balance they are really quite fun to ride."
*As he spoke Dal atop his cloud slowly gained altitude, a calm smile on his face that had a strangely encouraging effect.*

* Honored Brother looked down at the cloud, slowly lifting his foot up and placing it upon its puffy surface. Finding purchase, Honored brother stepped up onto it, now standing on it with both feet. A small chuckle escaped Honored brother as ha gave a nod*" Unique elementals? Interesting. I have read theories on this in books in Great Forks, but to see them in the breath and motes, remarkable."
* Seeing his master stand on one of these alien clouds, Mild magma decided this must be safe and hopped up onto the one in front of him.*
* the three flew swiftly to the floating platform out in the water, the glistening first age city looked like a azure pearl among the huge flowing river. As they lowered, they could see crowds of sea-folk cheering in their alien language as they saw the reincarnation of their old overseer.... but amidst the crowd, Roaring Wave could be seen, looking quite angry as he stood there... no Tari to be found*

*Dal, not sure quite how to handle the reception he was receiving smiled and waved at the residents of the floating city, looking more like a hammy politician than anything. As he came in and swooped over the heads in the crowd, he saw Roaring Wave and turned to land near him. Dal lowered his stance like a surfer and patted the side of the cloud before dismounting allowing it to fly away... His dismount was both high speed and at least 20 ft above ground and as such he landed like a bombshell beside Roaring Wave. He stood up from the kneeling position he had ended up in from the fall and turned to Roaring Wave, his smile faded and turned to concern when he saw Wave's expression.*
"Glad you could come brother, I wanted my visitors to meet you... Is something wrong? you seem upset... It looks like Tari wasn't able to come, is she busy?"
*Dal turned to the sky and waved his hand at the two dragons following him, signaling for them to come down in this area.*

Resplendent Fire, 10 * The crowd parted as Dal landed, a few stayed, but quickly the crowd dispersed, going back to whatever it was they were doing.* * Wave shook his head, then closed his eyes, taking a breath as to cool himself off so he did not fly off the chain. He opened his eyes again when he had cooled down and started with something that would keep him cool*
" No.. Tari is right here.... " * he took a step to the side and put his hand on the shoulder of a woman who stood nearby. She hand long grey hair, and pink eyes... but that was where the similarities ended* ( See picture)* Wave yet again heaved a sigh, then looked to the sky, before lowering his gaze to Dal*
" If a threat were to make its way into Imperveress, you would want me to tell you, right?..."
* Honored brother looked between the two water aspects, noticing that the man's armor was surprisingly dynastic, but he brushed that off quickly*
* Mild magma, on the other hand, couldn't take his eyes off Tari and her new look. Despite the great god power, Mild magma was still a teenage boy*

*Dal looked distinctly puzzled by both of Waves statements...*
"What? Tari... This is a joke right, this woman could be Tari's sister but.... wait?"
*He looked back over to "Tari", and pondered a number of possible twilight zone theories that would explain the change in her appearance... but realized Wave didn't look like he was in the joking mood.*
"Err... Well ok then I'll take your word for it... Tari you look stunning as ever...
*He looked back and forth between the two.*
What's this about a threat in the Empire? I keep warning Ress... if he plans on letting people in without a proper background check we're in for trouble but..."
*He caught himself before he started ranting, and turned to Wave.*
"Well? Tell me what is it?"

Resplendent Fire, 10 * Tari blushed a little as the teenage boy stared at her, not used to her new look as of yet so it seemed."
" Yes, Its me, Admiral Dal'Lumen... a few days after a Dragon-Blooded Exalts, our bodies change as our elementally aspected essence courses though us... and this is the 'common' shape of the daughters of Danaa'd... and I can feel that I am still changing... I am not sure what to expect next."
* she stepped back, trying to hide behind Wave, but unlike usual, Tari was now almost taller than Wave.*
* Wave seemed like he had blinders on, either not noticing or not caring that Dal had visitors with him. By now, steam was literally rising up off Wave's skin as got closer to the subject of his irritation*
"... Its that you let The Sea-Monster into Imperveress! I get up one morning and find that we have more Water aspects in the empire... so I go up to meet them... I find this Ame person... and he was right there behind her!
He says that you let him stay, and that you knew he was a pirate... now, I don't think all pirates are bad.. or that they can't change... but this is an infamous pirate, Peleps Kaizoku Dagon!
I have known him since his school days, and he was never someone that I would allow in here"
You don't know what he has done... he is a monster! I had classes with him, back in The House of Bells!"
*Honored Brother thought the name over a few times, then spoke up in a soft, matter of fact voice*" Great Grandson of the heroin of the realm, Peleps Kaizoku Hoein?
I have heard stories about him... had forsaken a life in the navy for a free life at sea... though he brought much wealth back to House Peleps.
There were also rumors of him sinking ships for no reason, and robbing personal cargo ships belonging to other Dynasts... but there was never any proof"

*Dal narrowed his eyes, he nodded faintly and took a step to the left of Wave, the first step of which would become pacing.*
"Yes I am aware of his previous... 'profession'. I also wondered if perhaps you knew him... I can understand your concern..."
*He turned on his heel and paced back the other direction a few steps.*
"You can also understand that I above all people have a bad history with pirates... and hold no love for that sort."
*He stepped back again, and looked straight into Roaring Waves eyes.*
"There was a time in my life brother... when you would not have been able to see how I became the man I am today. There was a time when I was little more than a trained attack dog... But here I am, the leader of a city, and a new life..."
"You will simply have to accept the fact that your Emperor Ress, and I have decided to give Dagon an opportunity to start a new life here, serving the Empire."
*Dal turned on his heel facing Wave directly, looming down on him very much looking like a very high station officer addressing his soldier. A role Dal had been growing increasingly accustomed to.*
"My advice, you don't need to like him, he's not your superior you don't have to listen to him, but I am, and I'm telling you to just put up with it and learn anything you can from him... One day soon your roles will be reversed and you will be expected to train everyone else however you can. So don't you worry about him, hes my subordinate so whatever he does is my problem, not yours!"
*Dal reached out and grasped Waves shoulder firmly, and grinned.*
"If it makes you feel any better... Just know that I made sure he checked his ego at my doorstep that night. You might have seen the bruises... Have a little trust in me, and in time we will speak more about your future."
*Dals eyes attempted to reassure Wave, he had been worried that Dagons presence would stir up trouble, but he couldn't do much about that now but demonstrate confidence in his decisions and wait to see how things start to play out. Trying to get back on track... he turned back to introduce the Immaculates and change the subject, Dal had his own Rivalry to think about and he didn't plan to avoid Kahn longer than he needed to in order to deal with the task at hand.*
"Speaking of trust! Roaring Wave, Tari, I would like you to meet Honored Brother, and Mild Magma... They are visiting us from the Blessed Isle. Given their beliefs, each of them has demonstrated tremendous trust by even coming to the Empire. I was hoping the two of you might give them a unique perspective on our way of life here in Imperveress?"

* Wave's jaw muscle flexed as he listened, then heaved a sigh as Dal put his hand on his shoulder. Wave then nodded in agreement*
" Okay... but I hope this is something we both won't regret later.... there is a reason why they called him 'The Sea Monster'... there were even tales of his ship being crewed by the undead....... Honored Brother?!"
* Wave and Tari both jumped forward, getting a closer and more wide eyed look at their visitor*
" THE Honored Brother?!"
" Master Honored Brother?..... What are you doing here??......!
* Tari bowed low to Honored Brother like one would to their old master*
" Oh?...OH!.. You are that Tari! I have not seen you in years. It seems you have been chosen later than most, but since nobody thought you would be chosen at all makes this a miraculous situation. Congratulations on your recent Exaltation, Tari!
as your old teacher, I am proud"
* Honored brother nodded his head as he smiled*
* Mild Magma said nothing... he was used to people recognizing his master.... but he was glad that this time gave him the opportunity to look up another scion's shirt*
