* rallied as legion, the brave men and women of all four cities of Imperveress were now pounding on the gates of the imperial manse, shouting for Ress to show his face to them and answer for his crimes against them... and just behind the gates, the shimmering form of Sentinel appeared, shocked and surprized at the accusations he heard from them... as always.. he contacted Ress* " Open the gates, Sentinel.... let them to the front door...." * replied the dismayed emporer... and obedient as ever.. he opened the gates and dematerialized, letting the rushing tide of furious people pour into the inner court of Ress' Manse.. untill they were stopped by the front door*

*The sound of the anger in the courtyard brought Arachnia out of her studies and she got up from her lounge, heading to Ress to ask him about it. Book in hand, she walked quickly in order to make good time just in case there was something afoot. Besides, she was only a few doors down from him about an hour ago...*

* The people of Imperveress began banging on the huge door of the imperial manse.. but as predicted, The doors opened and Ress stepped out. Surprisingly, the crowd became hushed as Ress stepped out. The crowed stepped back, giving his room... he stayed silent.. as did the crowd.. then a brave man spoke up* " You killed our townsmen!!" " Those were our husbands, wives and children!" " You should pay for what you did!" " Watch it! He is dangerous!!!" * Ress continued to say nothing, simply standing there... until he thrusted his arms out, hands into fists and facing upwards.. exposing his wrists. there was no motion for a few moments.. then manacles were slapped upon the pale wrists of the proud emporer, and the mob cheered* " We should kill him now!!" * the crowd cheered once more, only to be silenced by another powerful voice* " Better yet, lets wait until the festivle for the fields, then sacrifice him to them!" * an even greater chear rose from the crowd, everyone agreeing whole heartedly with this plan. And without a fight, Ress went stood there, going along with the waves of his once loyal followers*

Ascending Wood 26 *Towering Oak watched as the mob led Ress off and sighed. He still couldn't believe that he had let Ress talk him into just letting him get taken away. Once he heard the crowd's agreement to wait until the Festival of Fields, Oak sighed with relief and headed into the Manse.* Sentinel, Arachnia's location please. *A holographic map appeared showing Arachnia's position and Towering Oak smiled and started following it. Once he found Arachnia he bowed at her.* It has begun. If you will follow him then we can start looking for evidence.

*Arachnia had been tracking her followers and was on her way back when Towering Oak found her. She wore her monstrous war-shape, the Lunar insinuation of hostility and war, despite that she used it for ceremonial purposes on occasion. It was obvious, however, that she was angry, for death threats gleamed in her black eyes and her voice was colder than the winds at the core of the Air Pole* I can feel him.. He's moving.. I'll kill every last one of them if they put even the tiniest bruise on his body! *she seemed to be losing a bit of her human sanity for the moment as she gave in more to her bestial side* They will not get off lightly, especially not mine. How dare they?! *her voice had begun to snarl as she stalked in the direction her Essence told her Ress was, the words "looking for evidence" almost entirely going over her head*

* From within Ress' Imperial manse.. A rather tall ( 5' 10") yet stocky man dressed in simple cloth clothing exited. his long white hair had grey and black veins streaking through it, giving him a mineral look. If one were too look upon him, he would seem to look much like a Dragon-Blooded of good breeding.. but this was not the case, as his features were far to ridged at the ends of his eyebrows, his nostrils, and the edges of his mouth.. he was far too draconic to be a mere Terrestrial. This could be none other than Quar-Zagot. He said nothing, simply walked to the side of the large spider woman, holding out a perfectly folded piece of paper for her to take*

* They carried Ress off beyond the manse gates, roughly 300 yards from his manse. It was there a set of stockades were waiting for him. He did not fight his followers as they locked him within them, the stern look of a man with a will of Orichalcum set heavily on his face.. he was angry.. but not at his people.. he knew they acted out of fear.. this was the Age of Sorrows after all. He looked up at his manse, then shook his head... Sentinel would pull through for him.. he had to.. otherwise, Ress knew he would have to come up with another plan very fast. * A man in a purple scarf looked down at Ress from the crowd.. it seemed this man from Kideshin had risen to be the leader of this mob. He smirked, then tossed his jet black hair back*" People of Imperveress... your supposed "Utopian emperor" has turnned his back on you.. maybe it was a lapse of judgment or a temporary obsession with power... I can not say for sure.. but what I can say is that not even he fights what is right! He knows that the time for the Ananthema was long ago, and it is best we simply behead him.... soon, he will be food for the fields.. and perhaps whatever new ruler we take will be far less corruptible! * the crowd cheared for this charismatic man.. all the while.. Ress never took his eyes off the Manse*

*Arachnia was stalking back to the Manse when Quar-Zagot showed up with his note. Unintentionally directing her scowl at him she took the paper from his hands, much more delicately than one would assume a Lunar in such a state might* obliged, Dragon... *Taking a moment to collect herself she breathed deeply as her fingers deftly unfolded each crease until it was completely open and began to read. For a moment she felt gratitude at such an ability, for without it she wouldn't be able to help her Mate. Arachnia's wrath still roiled inside her chest, though it was currently at bay as her eyes skimmed over each character after deciphering which language was used in the first place. As her adrenaline continued through her body, the eight black legs that held her up alternately lifted and set themselves back down while she read, going through two full rounds before she was sufficiently calmed in her body. Despite the dying of the initial stage in her rampage, those black eyes still glittered with the promise of a painful demise. Glowing softly from her abdomen was the hourglass shape synonymous for a black widow spider accompanied the silver tattoos swirling and slashing over the rest of her shape, though only a small portion crawled up to her face, ending around her jawline. There were the two Moonsilver Black Widow Razors sitting motionless on her shoulders and liquid-looking Moonsilver Hearthstone Bracers adorning her wrists. The rest of her body was unclothed except for the black chitinous material her skin was covered in for the shape, no chance of being immodest when you lack genitals and your breasts are covered in that smooth black material...*

Ascending wood, 26 The note read as follow " Arachnia, Lirimana, and Towering Oak. Don't Panic! So it seems I have found myself in a bit of hot water. I trust none of you believe that I have committed this heinous and ugly crime against my very own people. It is in this time that I have sent out Sentinel to search all along the edges of Imperveress for anyone who might be able to aid in proving myself innocent. We require such an outsider for the sole fact that the people of Imperveress will not rally under any one of us as a whole in this most delicate of situations. This person who is to help us will make himself known to you, and I would like you to aid this foreign messiah... as I do believe that they will have the tools needed to restore harmony before the festival for the fields comes to pass, and my beheading commences. Thank you all for your support, and your continued distance from me in my time of captivity. I will do all I can to help you from where I am.
~ Ress" ( 11 success written social attack to calm everyone and help instill the beginning's of an intimacy to this "foreign messiah" to help him. Appearance 4 {linguistic acts as appearance for written social attacks})

*Arachnia's eyes traveled the length of the note one last time, sighing a little to herself as the underlying message in his words took effect. Sure, it said "Don't Panic!" but that doesn't necessarily keep someone from panicking. A "messiah" huh? She wasn't sure she believed this person was a savior, per se, but if Ress thought that they could help, they could help. She trusted her Mate and his reasoning abilities most of the time, and this happened to be one of those times that she did. If this person was an outsider, then most likely they would head to the central Manse, it would be the obvious place to go to if you didn't know your way around. The shining silver tattoos and the hourglass upon her abdomen remained bright upon her body to anyone who could see them, her otherwise midnight form starting to move forward as each on of her eight legs in turn started to make their way forward , carrying her body with them. Stopping for a moment to look at the Elemental Dragon, she nodded once* Thank you, Quar-Zagot, I will be going to the central Manse now. If you have business with me, I will be there awaiting this "messiah" that was written about.. *at this, Arachnia turned and made swift time to the gates of the Manse. When she could see the size of the crowd her anger swelled but she stifled it for Ress's sake and her shape shifted and changed into that of her snowy owl and she flew above the heads of the others, knowing only a few would notice or even care in the state that they were in. The leader from Kideshen with the purple scarf... she could see him.. He was the leader, if she took him out, it would break their morale and she would be able t... no, Ress wouldn't bode well with that... Ruffling her feathers, Arachnia contented herself to let dung drop over his head and she landed silently in the courtyard of Ress's Manse. Her form rippled once more into that of her human shape, it would be best not to display such a hostile form as that of her hybrid shape to a foreigner who may not understand her reasonings for it. Brushing herself off, Arachnia walked over to Towering Oak and nodded, her true state of mind lost in the sultry dreamy expression that usually held her face* Hello, Towering Oak, it is time, isn't it? Although I think we should wait for Lirimana and the foreigner to arrive before we get to work. Ress had Quar-Zagot deliver this note to me, would you like to read it? *extending her hand, Arachnia opened her palm and exposed the note there, neatly folded into the tiny square that the Elemental had given to her originally. It didn't occur to her that a city dweller doesn't always know how to read, so she waited expectantly for him to take it. Even if he couldn't, she could simply read it to him...*

Ascending Wood 26 *Towering Oak looked down at the note that Arachnia had handed him and unfolded it. Holding it up so that the note was no longer in the shadow of his body, he started reading. At the words Don't Panic! he smiled and proceeded to read the rest of the note. Once he finished he folded up the note and handed it back to Arachnia. He shrugged and looked deep into her eyes, trying to gauge how she felt.* OK. *Oak sighed.* Not much we can do. *His eye was still locked onto Arachnia's, still trying to see how she was feeling. Looking back would be as seeing your soul weighed and measured as always, but with an inner core of compassion. However the compassion merely made it seem as if there was pity, almost contempt if you will. Although everything else about Towering Oak radiated concern, his eye did as it always did and sought to destroy and disturb.* How are you feeling Arachnia?

*The spider-woman watched him as he read, finding herself happy to find that he could read, you never knew who could or could not these days... Learning was something not valued enough in her opinion.. Her eyes had glazed over as her thoughts had taken her expression into a serene, almost sensual smile, betraying that she held other faces to wear. The huge Eastern man's booming voice brought her back and a curious expression lit her features as she thought back to what it was she had just said, trying to dispel the residual anger and violence that had occurred following Ress being apprehended . A single shoulder raised and lowered in a shrug, the shadow of her distress hidden in the depths of her eyes*
I will be perfectly alright, Towering Oak, thank you.. As one might expect, given the current situation, I am somewhat remiss and surely perturbed by the events of my own people. They will be counseled in better ways of handling death once this issue is resolved, rest assured. And what of yourself, how do you see yourself and the situation?
