*The Haltan had quickly gotten used to the looks his green hair had elicited amongst the denizens of this town. He smiled at the thought of making these people get used to the unusual hair color as he passed through the thresh hold and stepped into the nicely, but not overdone, furnished office. He bowed to the man situated inside.* Excuse me sir, are you the one referred to as Eight Whispers? *At the other mans nod the Haltan smiled.* I am called Morning Dew and I was sent on the behalf of Towering Oak, the newly appointed ruler of the City of Ramoth. I have been appointed his Benefactor in Aranea. I believe that my city might be able to offer your own some goods that you have sought after.

*Eight Whispers raised an eyebrow, finding it interesting that his job was coming into play. He didn't seem to notice the hair color, though he actually had. You didn't live under a spider queen and not pick up a few habits..* Benefactor, hmm? *he didn't recognize the term, but if he was here to trade, he must be the equivalent in his town to what Eight Whispers was here. Adjusting his garments, Eight Whispers took a step forward, having already been standing, and gave a slight formal bow* What sort of goods are you offering? *he was well informed, partially because he loved to be and partially because he needed to be. He intended for this to be a fruitful experience for his Goddess*

Ascending Wood 13 *Morning Dew smiled at Eight Whispers and raised a his hand with one finger extended.* In Ramoth, things aren't usually done as such. However, on the grounds that neither of us are familiar with the others customs, I shall not mind doing things a bit different. Two of my city's greater surpluses are silk and Lumber, both of exotic woods and those of a more common variety. In addition we have a surplus of many grains, wheat in particular. However, As I was traveling here I could not but help notice that your town was not in any great need for food stuffs. *As Morning Dew listed off the surpluses he counted them off on his fingers. Once he was done he folded his arms waiting for Eight Whispers's response which would either confirm his suspicions that Eight Whispers, as he was himself, very well informed and knew most of what the other city had to offer. And once the confirmation came, well, then the negotiations could begin in earnest.*

*Eight Whispers waited patiently and listened as Morning Dew went down his list, hearing nothing new added from what he had found about Ramoth* And of course, silk is something we desire, as I'm sure you're well aware. And though we don't have steel tools or weapons, we do have steel and unworked iron. My people are great craftsmen and women, for a little extra, we could go ahead and make them for you if you're interested *he cocked his head to the side slightly, taking note of the expressions or lack thereof going across the Haltan's face and Eight Whispers monitored his posture as well, just as his mother had told him. If you knew the secret language of movement then there was little hidden from you. He thought to ask his Goddess to grant him the ability to smell emotions.. Eight Whispers had also gotten wind that the leader of Ramoth, Towering Oak was once a blacksmith of great skill. Never mind that, though, there were other avenues if it came to it* Shall we do business? If so, I will consult my Goddess as to where you will stay

Ascending Wood 13 *Morning Dew smiled at Eight Whispers, and gave him a formal bow only his downward facing eyes revealing his confusion. And by the time he straightened even that sign was gone as well, leaving Morning Dew's eyes and body both to radiate polite appreciation.* I believe that we can do business. As is the custom among my people this meeting has given both parties a chance to show an interest in products of the other and therefore is not to progress past that. However I would greatly appreciate it if you would talk to your Goddess about my having a place to stay. For now it is just myself however upon approval of this from your Goddess, several of my fellows have planned to follow. Now if now is a good time to see your Goddess then lead on. I look forward to working closely with you Eight Whispers.

*at the request of "lead on" Eight Whispers had to focus to keep his eyes from widening.. So few ever asked to see his Goddess directly.. Nevertheless he bowed and gestured towards the door* Shall we? *with that he opened the door and walked to the manse his Goddess had stationed at the outer limits of town, sweeping his hand over his forehead and calling out in Old Realm* Goddess, Eight Whispers requests your presence and awaits your approval with the dignitary of Ramoth
