Ascending Wood, 8
*Lirimana walked through her city with a sheaf of papers in hand, a measuring device at her hip. She had been looking for an hour now, looking for the perfect place to put her hospital. The location needed to be right, the ground level and not too moist or too dry. Coming to a halt in front of a space nearer the edge of the city, Lirimana dared to smile. It had been too closely built in the city itself, but here was more rural, and the lot she had just come upon looked promising. She set the papers into her satchel and put it on the ground. Pulling out her measuring device, she went to work figuring out the dimensions of the area. She held her breath near the end, and when she looked at the final measurement she let it out in a thankful sigh. She had thought it too good to be true, but here it was. Scooping up some of the dirt, she tested it for water content and seemed satisfied. She wasn't an expert, but this was going well. The location had a pleasant view and there were some plants nearby, but not in the way. Maybe she should put in a garden for therapeutic purposes. It would also keep the area relaxing so that patients would be at peace while checked in.* I think I will.. *the Twilight moved to her satchel and bent down, rummaging through it for the sign she had made and the thick purple ribbon. Making a perimeter with a few stakes and the other materials, Lirimana placed the sign on the frontmost stake where she had tied the ribbon in a knot. It read:
FUTURE SITE OF
GOLDEN DREAMS HOSPICE
Finding this satisfactory, she stood back and admired her new area for a moment before going back to the Manse. She wasn't going to start on two buildings at the same time, not by herself, anyway. She liked to finish the project she was working on before making a new one when she had the choice*
