*near dusk, when she knew that Dagon would be docking at any time, Ame stood waiting for him to disembark. A sultry smile played about her lips as she anticipated his reaction to her being outside of their home manse. It had been a very productive day, and it felt great to be out and doing something. She was getting caught up with her people, the paperwork long done since she could do that while she hadn't been able to leave. The dappling of the leaving light played on the water at the docks, catching the Water Aspect's eye, and her hand settled over her abdomen for a brief moment while she contemplated the life beginning inside of her.
This child was an amazing thing, and she could tell how much it meant to Dagon. She would gladly stay inside for a lifetime if that was what it cost to bring that secret smile to her husband's face. She had seen those tender expressions when he snuck looks at their growing child and she pledged to D'annad that nothing would happen to mess this up. She had started doing pregnancy research to make sure she was being safe and had even secretly begun to form fighting techniques to protect her belly from harm or accidental blows. Ame hoped to never have to use them, but she'd rather be safe than sorry*
