Descending Fire, 28
Dal’Lumen
*It was 5 days before his birthday, and his training had intensified and his focus had turned to the next year and how he would live it. Dal had planned to spend the whole of calibration sitting in intense meditation and study. He would consult with Cho-Hi-Xo on his knowledge of war and training troops and read any available books on the subject. It was time his followers and people were shown the strength, and confidence they could attain. They would be symbols, a force of freedom, honor, and shining devotion to the Sun that all of creation would come to recognize. Holy warriors that stood as examples for all other warriors to measure themselves against. Navy men that would come like the unstoppable light of the dawn on far away lands shrouded in darkness.
Dal sat in his control room, Both Axes Truth And Law in one hand, and the Star metal J Diaklave owned by One Road in the other. His face was dreamy and he had a far away look in his eyes as if he were lost in his imagination. Scales slid down the hall past the doorway and startled him from his daydream and he remembered what he had originally come to his control room to do. He set the weapons down for a moment while he fiddled with the controls, calling every member of the Empire he knew, that might be capable of the task of reforging his Axes into the new weapon he had envisioned.
When he had finished dialing he entered the orb of light in the center of the room with his weapons in hand and began leaving a message for the empires celestial inhabitants and a few of the Dragon blooded under his purview*
" Greetings my brothers and sisters, calibration is nearly upon us and I had a request to make before I become unavailable for the next five days."
*He held up the three weapons for all to see.*
"I have had a vision... of a new form for my weapons Truth and Law. I call to all individuals with the forging mastery required for this task to help me see this vision into actuality. This sword given to me by the Sidereal, One Road, will act as a template for the new form of the Axes, but I would also like a chain roughly twice my length (12'5") connecting the two of them together. I am entrusting Sentinel to hold these artifacts until someone steps up to the task. It is important to me that they meet the forge on the first day of next year.
Also..." *His face was tragic, and he looked as if his next words weighed heavily on his heart.*
"In two months time I will be departing my beloved city of Beziar and entrusting it's care to you the other rulers of the Empire, as well as my followers and subordinates. I can't say for certain when I will return but I assure you, I will pray every day for the sun to watch over you and my people. I give you those two months to make any preparations required for my temporary departure."
*Dal bowed, and closed his eyes saying a short prayer right then, before his message ended.
Dal stood in place, praying fervently as his cast mark and an aura of essence began throbbing brilliantly like a growing fire within him. When he had finished he called out to sentinel.*
"Sentinel... I Know you can handle these from here.*
*He held up his Axes for Sentinel to take away.*
~13 Sxs Prayer to the success of his Axes Reforging, and to the safety of his city.~
