Ascending Air 3,
I guess the stables will do for the both of you, eh? You'll be cozy and I'll visit often. Just don't pop out any babies unexpectedly
*the woman who spoke was riding one of the lion-horses known as a simhata, and had another trailing behind it on lead. Apparently she was talking to them, though it didn't look like they were too perturbed by the thought of being in a stable. The rider wore sapphire-colored silks fashioned into loose, flowing pants cinched at her ankles and a bodice that laced at the back and ended about an inch above her belly button, showing off her fit figure; though she would hesitate to call herself buff. Her hair was liquid copper, and the golden hues of amber made up her eyes.
It was those eyes that closed with her sigh as she left the pair of simhata in their stable stall. She wanted nothing more at the moment to leave her things in her room and soak the road-dirt off of herself and her clothes. She knew she shouldn't have worn silk, but she always wanted to present herself well in front of company. Old habits, they say. Once everything was safely put in her suite, the Earth Aspect left to take the luxurious soak she so desperately craved.
She set her change of clothes on the chair, along with her brushes and lotions. Unclipping her hair, she let it tumble down to land mid-back and removed her towel, folding it up before she turned to step into the bath. She took a moment to enjoy the already-cleansing heat of the steamy room, and grabbed her soaps and oils to get in*

Ascending Air 3,
* Submerged up to his neck, the man in the ornate first age bath was lost in thought. He sighed as his mind passed over the war-torn history of the Scavenger lands. He slowly moved himself upwards, partially out of the warm water, then let himself float back down, taking note of how the water raised, then lowered as he moved in the tub. Though he was a master of warfare... this was land based warfare and combat over sea was something he knew nothing about. Maybe this shifting of water principal could be used in naval combat? This was defiantly something worth thinking about, especially living in an empire with a port. He thought o hard on this subject, that he had no idea that someone was walking in on him while he bathed*

Ascending Air 3,
*as soon as she had turned to get in the bath, a man's head broke the surface of the water and she let out a gasp. Out of instinct, she threw a bottle of soap at him and readied another bottle in the probability that she'd missed and needed something to supplement her fist. She was wishing she'd had her mason's hammer when the thought occurred to her that there could be other Dragon-Blooded in the Manse. Her face contorted into an apologetic expression as she knelt at the side of the water to see if she had killed him. She hoped not, how would she explain that to Ress?*

* He twitched as he was hit on the head, wondering 'what the devil just happened?', then looked up to see the unclad figure of another obviously earth aspected Scion. He leapt up to his feet, grabbed the nearest towel and tossed it to her so she could cover herself, in the same motion sank down into the giant tub, the water level just under his chest.
When he settled, he gave her a partial bow*
" Choze Ba Singh at your service! General who has broken the back of The Green Tide, held The Vein of Ixserad for three weeks against the legions of Sesus, Reclaimed the fountain of Gens Ageita from its thirty year occupation by Byehoyka - The Cackling Nightmare and single handedly defeated the most recent incarnation of The Lookshy Rebel, before he could claim even a single life!
I wish we could have met under more normal circumstances, but I hope this embarrassing encounter does not sully our future business."
* His cheeks were tinged pink as he spoke up, sounding like a soldier trying to impress his higher in command*

Ascending Air 3,
*the woman stood up as he surfaced, glad she hadn't killed him, and took the offered towel. Her eyes creased in amusement as he shouted out his achievements, while she held the towel closed with one hand. Her other hand ran through her hair and she winked, obviously over from the start from before. Despite the awkwardness of this encounter, she thought he was pretty cute and she found her eyes wandering to the water's surface. She let her gaze linger on the way up and offered him a return bow*
Iselsi Enuma Saen, outmaneuvered all of Cherak in order to run away and meet a handsome man in a foreign bath somewhere in the East. I'm also a damn good mason. As for your sullying, I think baths can clear up all kinds of unclean things
*Saen sauntered over to a neighboring bath and removed her towel when she was behind the divider. The sounds of her sinking into the water could be heard and she sighed in contentment. A moment later her submerged form came into view so that she could continue her commentary*
It's a pleasure to meet you, Ba Singh

* Ba Singh relaxed as she disappeared behind the divider, leaning back in the tub, letting the bubbles surround him once more as the sound of the running water resounded through the room*
" Its nice to meet you as well, Saen..... A Dynast? This far out?... what pulls you from The Blessed Isle? Especially amongst 'Anathema'."
* he kept his gaze up at the ceiling, his cheeks slowly losing their pink tinge*
" What are your other accomplishments, Saen?... did you come here with your husband, or did you ditch him?"

Ascending Air 3,
I was betrothed, and if I hadn't left I would probably be married to him now. I left because I got tired of the House politics and being degraded because of my House's history. They don't care that I designed the Rockfall Ascending Manse in Cherak, or that I planned and built the Flaming Spires in Panja. Not to mention my creation of the Dreaming Iridescent Walls of Fana
*Saen leaned back and let out an irritated sigh, trying to relax into the bath and let go of the people and things that were working her up. Too bad it wasn't working very well*
I even made the Great Dragon Circle Theater in Zeika! At this point, if Anathema appreciate me, I am willing to chance their evil influence until I can find a way to purify them

* He nodded, still keeping his gaze on the ceiling, creating a sophisticated map from the manse's textures and coming up with scenarios should a battle ever come about in it*
" Wow! So you have a great deal of notable structures to your name! I am very impressed. Did you not like your betrothed?.... I could imagine not liking living within that environment..... but then again, within this empire, we are required to marry and have children... not too unlike the pace you left. I thought about marrying when I lived in Lookshy... but I went on to be a great general instead... then they turned me down for advancement..."

Ascending Air 3,
I do, yes, but none of that matters, apparently. As for.. my betrothed, we didn't really know each other. He was just a well-bred Earth Aspect, rather young for my tastes, though I suppose he was cute enough. He's probably out of school by now and making a name for himself somewhere. It was never about the marriage and kids thing, I've always intended to make a better name for my House by having many talented, accomplished, and well-bred children. Unfortunately for Iselsi, they couldn't maintain one of the few things that they had going for them. I'm considering what my new name for Imperveress should be, a different House name, you know? I'm tired of all of the negative press Iselsi gave me. I definitely want something earthy and evocative. Perhaps Grael...
*Saen started to wash her hair as she thought about it, not wanting to become like a prune from staying in too long. She was also getting bored with the sensation of water as well, and wanted to experience another element. The fragrance of amber filled the air as she built up a lather, still thinking out loud*
I like the way it sounds, Grael Saen. Or even Saen Grael. Does this empire already have a setup for things like that or are we still in the Contagion Era?

* Ba Singh stood up, grabbed his towel and began drying himself off, letting his mind wander for a little bit*
" Oh... I would imagine changing your name would be a simple endeavor. Perhaps its just as easy as calling yourself by that name to cause a change.... So you didn't know your betrothed? Thats too bad.. I always thought they wanted betrothed to hit it off with one another..."
* he sighed and grabbed his clothes, careful to not to expose himself to her* " what are your plans for here, Saen?"

Ascending Air 3,
So, the Contagion Era, then. Alright I suppose I just have to work with that for now. It probably works out the easiest for me, anyway
*Saen stopped talking to herself when she realized he wanted to talk more about her ex-betrothed. She smiled at that, wondering if he was forming machinations on wooing her. That made her bite her lower lip a little before responding*
There wasn't too much to know. Sure they'd prefer us to get along, but it wasn't that necessary when you have blood like mine. It just makes me more of a breeder, and that makes me less of a person. Not that I don't want children, that's definitely a plan of mine, but I want it to be with a well-bred man who I can get along with. Attractive usually comes with the breeding, so that was always nice. My past-betrothed was attractive but he had no personality. Bland as sand in the South. I want a man with personality, or at least something in common with me other than sex. Not that sex would be uncommon...
*she took that moment to rinse her hair out, letting him stew on that idea for a moment. Saen stayed submerged for a bit longer and came up for air. Standing up, she started to soap and rinse the rest of her body, letting the bubbles hide her sensual places in a myriad of strategic ways**

* He slipped his clothes on as she spoke, faltering slightly as she spoke about more intimate subjects. He cleared his throat as he put his boots on*
" Oh? I can relate. My blood is strong as well. I felt a lot of pressure from my family and my superiors, but I figured if they really wanted me to have a wife, they would have assigned one to me and sent me through an exercise where I would shout 'This is my wife!.. there are many like her, but this one is mine!!' "
* He rolled his eyes as he thought about his old home and the hurt feelings he left with. He smirked a little when the thought passes*
" But thats why I am here. Ground floor of a new empire, no real competition... but the only worry is the pressure to marry. There has been no push as of late... but the way that Emperor Ress spoke, it sounded like something of the utmost importance."
* Ba Singh stretched, then shook his hands out, letting out the stress of the day, but mostly wasting time before he had to leave*
" As for names... I don't even think about my old house name... you should be fine."

Ascending Air 3,
I always knew Lookshy was barbaric. Why would anyone bother with a ritual like that? At least back on the Blessed Isle our weddings were grand events where everyone ate and gave presents. No ill-bred backwater shouting about ownership. As for the anathema and his marriage plans, I'm sure he intends to use us for breeding stock. It's what every other large government does with their Dragon-Blooded stock, and in with this empire being so new he'll want to hurry to catch up. We should start an empire where we aren't objects to be bred and fought by requirement. As Exalts we are the glorious Chosen of the Dragons, and while I do want children, I don't want it to be necessary to get anywhere in life. Or at the very least, be greatly respected for what we do
*Saen continued to remove the dirt of the road, brusquely scrubbing in a manner meant to be efficient rather than for leisure. With it, she was done quickly and as soon as she rinsed off she stepped out of the bath to re-dress behind the partition*

* He rolled his eyes, surprised that she took him seriously on his wife comment*
" No... that was just a joke. We have weddings in Lookshy as well... you really think we are just an experiment to The Emperor?... this is a pretty elaborate plan if so... he is ether not... or the greatest genius that Creation has ever seen."
* He stretched once more then heaved a sigh*
" well.. I am off for now. It was great speaking with you Saen, but I should go learn more about these lands... I heard there was an armory around here"

Ascending Air 3,
*Saen continued dressing as she responded to Ba Singh, her voice muffled for a moment as she pulled a shirt over her head*
Of course I think that, he is an anathema who is following in the path of all great nations and their designs on breeding regimes. Lookshy does it and so does the Realm. It's not his stroke of genius, just playing off ideas other leaders have had... Well, have fun finding the armory, I think I will grab a bite to eat then check out the local architects. See you another time
*once dressed, she went to the mirror to brush her hair and decide what sounded good to eat*
