How would you put a price on that, Emperor? How much is your dignity worth? True happiness is priceless, so there is no way to charge for that. If I even tried it would degrade anything like that so much so that it wouldn't even be worth it anymore. As for the actual work aspect, just pay me what you pay the others. An obol every three seasons is plenty for us

" So what I allocate to the other Scions? Excellent! now then... that means you will be staying in one of the local manses. Now, I will find the most appropriate for you to live in and get it to you in the next few hours. In the meantime, you have free access to the amenities of my manse. If there is anything you need, Sentinel can provide you with the resources for it. Is there anything else I can do for you today?"

As long as that extends to my sister, since she'll be living with me. In the meantime I can drill Sentinel like I promised him earlier

Is it possible for these terms to be renegotiated if something larger changes in the future?
*Pale Transcendence had been watching as her sister talked things over with the emperor. She picked up on his momentary annoyance and felt something rise in her chest as she grew thirsty. Her stomach tightened and she tried to mask a wince at the coming pangs. She licked her lips and smiled at the thought of watching her sister "interview" poor Sentinel. The story would be good, though. Thankfully this would be over soon and she could go find something to eat or drink*

Well, Emperor, it's been interesting. I will have to sit in on a few of these if you want an article about it. I will definitely put out a current event for the people with bios on these newcomers, though, that way everyone can get to know them better. As for why I came by, I thought you might like a copy of the latest Impervian Times
