Resplendent Fire 1,
*long limbs supple with youth and toned with the muscles of an outdoor lifestyle held the girl's body still and crouched as she peered out with warm brown eyes at the clearing she was next to. Her hair was a red-brown and pulled into a functional ponytail, the strap made from tanned leather. Her clothes were functional and tailored to the weather, the cotton shirt loose but not baggy and her pants conforming and sturdy without losing its flexibility. Her boots were starting to show wear, the material roughed and dirty from trekking around, but they were a sturdy build and remained protective of the girl's feet. In the clearing she watched Kahn train once again, having learned her habits from watching the past few days. She was pretty sure the Lunar knew she was there, and the instinct to leave her hiding place slowly so she wouldn't surprise the tiger-woman would be the one she'd follow. Normally she wouldn't hide and sulk like a scout or coward, but when she'd seen Kahn pass by her in Ramoth she found herself weak in the knees and unable to utter a syllable. This in itself was disconcerting, and telling herself she was only studying the other interactions Kahn went through (and was certainly not just trying to get up the courage to talk to her) to see if she had the same effect on other people. Today she'd painstakingly roasted the venison she'd caught with some potatoes, checking constantly until it looked like something she'd want to eat. Cooking was never her forte, but she wanted an offering and this made sense. She hoped it would turn out and didn't taste bad, at least it hadn't burned. With a deep breath she gathered herself and stood up, stepping out from behind the tree with measured movements in a nonthreatening gait, though she couldn't help but make each step efficient, not wanting to waste her movements on a more subconscious level. Her plate steamed as she brought it out to the warrioress, trying to keep her heart in her chest and out of her throat*

Resplendent Fire, 1
* beads of sweat rolled down the neck and brow of Kahn as she struck a boulder she had carried up from the quarry.
Her stance was low and wide, better to keep from being knocked over, despite being slower to strike.
With each open palmed strike she made on the rock, another piece of this boulder chipped off.
She then rolled her hip, landing her left heel on the stone, putting a deep crack through it.
She resisted the urge to use her full strength to blow the rock to oblivion, but he knew that displays of power were not the things that would make her stronger... it was hard work and determination that brings results.
She followed up with a back kick, taking the top end off her target, then turned around, bringing both fists down on what was left, knocking it to rubble.
When she was done, she smiled, and gave a nod, leaning over as she put her hands on her knees, panting as she looked around at the broken rocks she sprayed.
It was then she saw the woman holding a plate and stood back up.
She cocked her head to the side as she looked at the woman, then back at the plate*
" Can I help you?... are you lost?"

*she opened her mouth to speak and felt her face flush, no sound escaping her lips. She cursed silently, having thought she had this more under control. At a thought, she turned her face away, took a quick deep breath and turned back*
I'm not lost, no. I, uh, I thought you might like something to eat after all your hard work
*a hint of white peeked out as she bit her lip, then ran her tongue over that same lip all the while watching Kahn with intensity in her gaze*

* Kahn blinked a few times, looking between the woman and the plate, then gingerly took it, wolfing down part of it hungrily... there was nothing like a high impact workout to work up a ravenous hunger.
She then smiled to her and gave a little bow*
" Thank you very much! It is delicious. I am Kahn by the way... also known as Kahn Red Talons. To what do I owe this generosity?"

*the girl's face split into a grin and she beamed at Kahn, happy that her offering had been accepted. She was excited that Kahn had liked it, having watched so carefully to see that it was cooked nicely. She bowed in return, not afraid to show her company the top of her head*
It's nice to formally meet you, I've seen you before but we've never spoken., my name is HreSan. I thought you might like something to eat after working so hard for so long, I'm glad I was right. I saw you defeat that group the other day, that was impressive. I'm one of the best warriors in my tribe and I couldn't take a group that large alone

"Oh! You saw that?"
*Kahn smirked, remembering her open challenge to any and all warriors in Imperveress... but of course it was only mortals who answered the call, so she had them all attack her as a team.
She nodded, then took a few more large bites of food, then spoke*
"Hello HreSan You are a warrior too? Why didn't you join in? I am sure we both could have used the exercise! I know I am sick of beating rocks all day."
* Kahn laughed some as she shoveled down the last of her dinner, showing that no matter how great a martial artist or sexy one might be.. a barbarian is a barbarian.*

*HreSan didn't seem to mind Kahn's eating style, a barbarian herself it was a normal sight. She chuckled and shook her head some*
I am a warrior, not a fool. I'm also not a god, I know I couldn't beat you on my own. Besides, it was fun and a learning experience to watch you.... I could learn a lot from watching you
*she looked up through her lashes at Kahn, quirking a little smile, a glint of flirtatiousness in her eyes as she took more of the tigress's gaze into her own*

* Setting the plate down, Kahn put her fist into her hand, then put both hands on her hips, tilting backwards slightly and giving HreSan a grin*
" I bet you could stand above any mortal warrior if I trained you! You could be greater than any of them easily, and I know just how to do it. What do you say, HreSan?
This could be fun, and would help us both!"

*her face had lit up and you could almost see the stars in her eyes, but a thought hit her and some of it faded, the glimmering remaining to fuel her hope. Despite her worries she figured that a goddess like Kahn would tell her if she didn't want her around anymore, and anything that was more important at the time would take precedence. This was like a dream come true*
I'd love to work with you, Kahn, we could achieve a lot of glorious things. Where and when should we start?

* Khan smiled, pleased with the enthusiasm of her new pupil. She nodded, turning her back to her as she ran a hand through her hair*
" When? Tomorrow... right here. Be sure to come here with all the gear and weapons you are proficient with, then get ready for the most difficult training you have ever taken part in. Good luck to you... I will see you tomorrow at dawn!"
* She then shifted into a tiger and ran off into the direction of the city of Arania*

*as the sun was just beginning to rise, HreSan set her sword and an axe on the ground against a tree to begin her stretches. She had planned to be earlier than Kahn, and figured that arriving just before dawn would be a good time. She'd already set up a place for them to eat with the food tucked away until they were ready. She'd made sure to bring a lot food, fruits and breads and other energy-bringing morsels along with a large amount of water. Deep breaths in and out as she stilled her racing heart. Excitement wouldn't help her yet, so she went through the process of limbering up while she waited for her Lunar mentor and the next steps down the road of destiny*
