* The Captain stepped off a cart three brothers had been so gracious to allow him passage on. After all, they were going to East Bezair anyway to sell hairfish pelts.
The Captain smiled as he placed a single white jade oble in the hand of each teen, then waved a goodbye at the still stunned traders..
He sighed as he walked through the cobbled streets of Bezair, getting many stares as an unfamiliar dragon-blooded walked the streets. The Captain did not like being stared at like this, but was friendly enough to those around him.
All the while, he looked on at the Manse in the distance.. far greater than those at the perimeter, even going so far as to rival those he knew on The Blessed Isle.
He wondered to himself, what could these people be like, and what was to become of him... right up until he arrived at the Bezair Manse*

Resplendent Fire: 9
*High above the captains head the sound of battle being waged on the top most level echoed down into the court of the Beziar Manse. The shouts of men, the dull thudding drum of something heavy and made of wood being struck dozens of times each second, and the dangerous clang of steel on steel. A voice like a lions roar which presided over even the cacophony seemed to be barking out orders, and instruction.*
"YOU! STRENGTHEN YOUR STANCE!
TIGHT GRIP... LOOSE ARMS!
YOU CALL THAT A KICK?! LIKE THIS, PIVOT THE FOOT, AND TURN THE HIP INTO THE KICK!"
*CRUNCH FOOOM! Something catastrophic had happened to whatever was large and wooden, and the captain would soon realize what exactly it was that had been done, and moments in the future would become acquainted with the unlucky victim. A shadow loomed several feet to the right of the captain, over a patch of delicate blue flowers in a plot of unseasonably green grass. A few seconds, and a thunderous boom later the flowers the grass and the shadow had vanished in a crater, under a huge wood stump about three feet wide 8 feet tall, and weighing what was probably a good 800 pounds. The stump had an image repeated on all sides of it of what looked like a large powerfully built man, with an almost comical angry face scratched in as it's face. One of these faces sported a leg sized indent giving the stump face an unhappy squished expression, the dent, oddly enough, was steaming slightly.*
"Head's up!" *Came the late warning from up above on the manse. The dark silhouette of a man peeking over the edge of the manse against the bright blue sky could be seen.*
"Oy! You down there, are you injured?" *It was the same impressive, and compelling voice he had heard shouting a few moments prior.*

* The Captain laughed when he saw the practice dummy. If he had one like this back in school, it would have been easier to reach top of his class... or maybe it would have made competition stiffer. He looked upwards, blocking out the light of the hot summer sun with his right hand, but still unable to see the person who called out to him*
" No, I am fine... just a second, I am coming up.... with your friend!"
* He knelt down and grabbed the dummy, heaving it with a grunt over his shoulder. He then leapt into the air, tossing the huge heavy dummy into the air, then followed by running up the side of the smooth pearl manse surface.
The dummy only came up half way up the side of the manse, but he soon caught up with it, grabbed it in his arms, spun around, and let go of the dummy, sending it higher into the air.
When he got to the top, he hopped up off the side, nudging the dummy in the air, so that it might land atop the training arena up top.
Without a sound, the man landed next to the large wooden training aid, laughing a little as he looked back at the silly face on the thing. He shook his head, then looked bout for anyone who could be the owner of such a voice*
" I am here looking for an 'Admiral Dal'Lumen'. I was sent here by the Sentinel guardian over at the yellow river Manse... To make a long story short, I am here for a new life"

*Dal didn't speak immediately, but rather he walked over and casually kicked the dummy off the roof again, the dummy's faces giving one last angry look at the assembly before plummeting back to the unsuspecting garden below. He snapped his fingers at two sturdy, seasoned looking fighters each with trepidation in their eyes.*
"Since you two can't kick worth a damn, you get to go bring that back up here... go, and if you so much as scuff my manse or anything in it, you will be polishing the entire thing with your faces!"
*He turned away from the two dismissively and grinned warmly at the stranger, slowly beginning to clap.*
" There are few better places to make a new life than Imperveress."
*He stopped clapping.*
"That was good, you are clearly a strong and agile warrior. I am Admiral Dal'Lumen, but you have me at a disadvantage, you would be?" *Even though he was no longer shouting, his voice was still powerful and yet full of warmth. A voice which also held the markers of a sea-tongue accent upon each word.

* He laughed as he saw what was happening, having heard of such training techniques in the cloister of wisdom. He shook his head, turning his gaze from the dummy, back to Dal.
He pulled off his tri cornered hat and bowed to the solar before him*
" Hello Admiral Dal'Lumen. I was once known as Ledaal Issera Dagon... but now, I am just Dagon. I will admit, there are a lot of things I have done that I am not proud of, but now I am here, looking for a new life.
Dagon was very much a westerner... or maybe all Water aspects looked like westerners. His skin had a light brown tint to it, but was mostly blue green. His hair was short, with its roots black but as it grew out, lightened to blue. His eyes were a deep purple, with a ring of blue at the edges.
By what he was wearing, it was hard not to think 'pirate'. Between his puffy sleeved shirt, black breeches and black jade breastplate, complete with a depiction of a sea-monster coiled around a sinking ship in a storm.
This captain was obviously on his best behavior... after all, those who choose to dress like this rarely acted like this*
"I was told you would point me in the direction of Emperor Ress and possibly where I will be living if he says I can stay."

"I see, well in that case, if water is your gig Beziar has plenty and is growing quickly, we have plenty of places to live."
*Dal invited Dagon to walk with him as he strolled through the training ranks of men.*
"One day these men will be the Elite River Guard, the city police forces and the protectors of peace in my cities. Each man here came to me to become something more, most had been simple harvesters from the fields, made strong by their labors under Quie-Ra the field god. They all came to me to be shaped into something new, something strong, respected and honorable..."
*Dal turned on his heel to Dagon, looking him up and down appraisingly.*
"This Empire can do that to anyone that takes the initiative. Your past is your own, so long as you, nor it are a threat to the security of this Empire we will get along just fine... Come I will show you the way to the Emperor, he will pass judgment on you."
*Dal began walking again, this time more quickly, his intention on leading Dagon through his manse and down to the lower manse where the waterway connected.*

" Ah yes, It is good to have some competent help, isn't it?... As for myself, I graduated The House of Bells at the top of my class. there were veteran generals who thought twice about getting in my way. But that was back on the Blessed Island.... and as you can see, I am a child of Daana'd. Water is defiantly my thing"
* Dagon followed Dal downward through the manse, ant to the Waterway, marveling at the glowing essence rich water and the boats that floated in them*
" Wow... this must have taken some time to dig up. So this is what will take me to Emperor Ress? I have ridden on a lot of fancy crafts.... but this has to be the fanciest, hands down."

"Hah." *Dal chuckled as he spoke up.*
"It is pretty fantastic isn't it, and yet trust me when I tell you... you ain't seen nothin' yet brother"
*Dal allowed Dagon to take whatever time he wanted to get on the boat and decide to make his leave.*
" You would not be the first water dragon I have had the opportunity to meet. If you are given citizenship and you decide to make Beziar your home, you would be the fourth of your kind to find yourself under my oversight... not to mention the first to have graduated from the house of Bells!
Oh! Between you and me, let me tell you, there is a very pretty lady looking to meet a man just like yourself..."
*Dal grinned and snickered mischievously, giving the captain a sturdy nudge with his elbow.*
"you must be tired from your long journey, but it is almost over... I will probably be seeing you back here later today, after the Emperor decides what he would like me to do with you."

"This place must truly be a gem from the first age...??!"
* Dagon was taken back by the comment of a pretty lady looking for someone like him, he smirked, then gave a shrug, following with a nod*
" Only time will tell I suppose, but if she is one of those two water dragons that you were talking about, then maybe this could work"
* He laughed again, clapping his hand on Dal's shoulder*
" Really? none have graduated the House of Bells? They must all be Outcaste or slackers then... but only one of those can be forgiven, the other can be fixed. Well then... I would live to stay and chat, but the sooner I leave, the sooner I can come back and get to know my new home and position. Goodbye for now, Admiral Dal'Lumen"
* Dagon saluted Dal, then stepped onto the dragon-boat, allowing it to sail him off in the direction of the Imperial Manse*

* A few hours later, a glowing hologram of Ress appeared near Dal. The image of the Emperor was sitting in his chair, laughing the kind of exhausted, weak laugh that only came after a large eruption of hillarity.
Ress took in a deep calming breath, then exhaled, speaking up to Dal*
"Admiral Dal'Lumen... The Dragon Dagon is on his way to you... I find that he will be a great addition to our empire, as his naval combat skills are exactly what we need.
Did he mention that he was number one in his soldier secondary school? From what I have heard, those schools are tough... their families send them out there with a 'best or failure' attitude, and the other students are like hungry sharks.
But anyway, I leave his future in your capable hands, Admiral. He should be on his way there now... Oh yes, and don't tell him.. but I think that Ame lady and him would make a good match. I will be posing the idea to him soon.
Is there anything I can do for you in the meantime, Admiral?"

Resplendent Wood, 9
*Dal would be found standing on one leg, the other was extended out in a held side kick position, his hands outstretched in the opposite direction in what looked like knife hand strikes. From his limbs large weights hung balanced. He was in his manses gravity room performing what looked like a combination of mediation, balance and strength training. He hardly moved at all other than his head and eyes witch turned to the Emperor.*
"Oh, greetings Emperor excuse me that I do not bow... I am tied up at the moment. I am glad to see you are in good spirits, you and Dagon must have had a good conversation!"
*He settled his body and changed sides, now standing on the opposite leg, arms extended in the other direction.*
"I was lucky enough to see some of his prowess, so I am not surprised that he is as awarded as he is skilled. But even better is the news that he is so skilled with naval ships, I have been keeping my ear to the ground for such experience."
*His body barely moved at all as he spoke, holding all the muscles of his body in perfect contraction for this task.*
"Ah, and on the subject of Ame, I planned to ask you if I might claim five of the empires Light Implosion Bows to mount to the five currently unarmed cargo ship's I gave her. Some added protection for the empires traders at least until my fleet is trained and I am able to provide escort ships."

*Ress wiped under his eye as his composure returned to him. Now sitting up straight, Ress looked like the Emperor he usually did, Regal and mostly serious. He nodded to Dal, holding out a hand for moment as if to offer something out to him*
" Implosion bows? Of course! If you need them, I grant them to you. Thank you very much for letting me know!
If that is all, then I will see you next time, but if you should need anything, you know how to contact me"
* The transmission then shut, causing the image of the emperor to disappear, leaving behind nothing*

* A slightly cocky wry smile played on his lips as he stepped off the dragon boat, then walked up through the manse, to the upper layers, both hands behind his back, crossed at the wrist and clenched into loose fists.
As he climbed through the manse, he hummed to himself a sea shanty from the blessed isle*
" Sentinel?... can you point me in the direction of Admiral Dal'Lumen please?"
* No sooner said than done, a map of the Manse appeared before Dagon, showing both him and Dal's locations in relation to one another*
" Thank you, Sentinel!"
* Dagon made off for the gravity room, which Dal was training in. When he arrived, he popped the door to the gravity room open with a blast of water from a kick, then walked on in, taking off his hat and bowing low to Dal... the increased gravity of the room pulling him lower but he played it off as if he had meant to*
" Admiral Dal'Lumen, Captain Dagon reporting for duty!" * He stood back up, putting his hat back on, then reached for his flame piece and reaver daiklaive, holding them both at the ready, but only for striking a pose*
" Naval Combat is my specialty, but I am an accomplished swordsman and martial artist, not to mention I know where to find rare and illegal goods for reasonable prices... and if need should ever be, I could help you shake down boats for protection money! In essence, if you do it on or in the sea, there are few better than me!"

*Dal would be found at the far end of the Gravity Room, standing on one hand, the sudden watery entrance of of Dagon caused him to wobble awkwardly, the impulse to jump up and fight almost taking him. He looked up with a grin, and allowed himself down to a normal standing position, walking over hand extended for Dagon the dragon to accept.*
"Congratulations captain Dagon, and at the word of your navel skill's I knew right away where you could fit in. Your credentials are good, but as with anything you will need to prove yourself, so to start I want you to help me train my Elite River Guard! While I am a master sailor myself, with all my time taken training warriors, and handling Imperial affairs I have not had time to train them in the art's of naval combat."
"It's time to take them to the next level... and make the naval forces of Imperveress something to be reckoned with, and respected, what do you say to that?!"
*His hand still extended waiting for Dagon to take it and seal the deal as it were. He hoped this would be the first step in not only setting in motion his plans for the navy, but later the plans he had for other elite factions of warriors dedicated to the Sun, and the Empires well being.*

* Dagon pulled the trigger of his flame piece and with a flick of his wrist, made the flames look like a rough, yet recognizable ship.
He allowed the ship to float for a few seconds, before bringing his daiklaive down upon it, causing it to split in half and fall to the floor harmlessly*
" You have yourself a deal! Bring in your other Water aspects while you are at it! Outcastes could use a good House of Bells education!"
* He quickly put his weapons away, stepped forward and shook Dal's hand, giving a nod* " Looks like this Empire is on its way to being a little grander."
