Ascending Fire, 13
The sister cities of Beziar were on the rise, and with it a new wave of artists and craftsmen and women had found opportunity to make themselves a very reasonable way of life performing and creating. New buildings were cropping up all around the city, all ascetically appealing, with a noticeable western style to all of it.
The Streets that followed the River were the most active at night, musicians, theater and fireworks were becoming common place. There was a good share of grumblings from any one citizen about the strong presence Dal'Lumen had made in Beziar, but for the most part people were growing steadily happier with the progress. People all around the City were also beginning to convert to new faith. With the huge new temple of the sun under construction people had been drawn to praying to the Unconquered Sun. Along with new creative and religious movements in Beziar people had begun to accept their new Admiral as their leader, and many people frequented Dal'Lumen's speeches, a city council group had also formed which helped enforce and put Dal's Initiatives into motion with the help of a growing military and police presence in the Cities.
In the Bezair manse Dal'Lumen their leader had spent the past 58 days when he was not attending to city matters putting himself through a grueling training regimen. At least 14 hours a day the very foundations of the manse seemed to quake while the Zenith spent a vast amount of time learning the secrets of his snake style under the oppressive gravity in the basement of the manse, training his mind and body in what seemed to be the loudest, most forceful way he could manage it. He also spent a good bit of time in meditation, mentally sparring with Cho-Hi-Xo, even in these times of silence the air around Dal would ignite in brilliant flares of his essence and the warm pearl floors could be detected rumbling under the strain of so much essence. Other times he would be out in the fields with the mortals and Quie-Ra using ropes to wrap up and carry entire harvests on his own back, or pulling wagons in place of the beasts. Many of the men he worked with in the fields had become the guardsmen of Beziar once Quie-Ra had deemed them strong enough to stop working the fields.
The days had become hot with summer well on it's rise and deep within Dal's manse in the gravity training room came a burst of light and two massive arms erupted from the stairwell that lead down and into the manse above where they stopped looking much like arms and much more like an explosion of solar essence.
*Dal'Lumen came staggering out from the underbelly of his manse, his entire body shook with the strain of standing, it looked as though he had reached his limit and could push his body no further. He stumbled down the hallways to his bathroom so he could soak his aching muscles in a cold bath, on the way he called out to Quie-Ra.* "I've done it brother! Now I plan to sleep for the next week!" *He entered his bathroom and very nearly belly flopped into his bath where he fell asleep, snoring loudly.*
