*Dal roared, his face chest and arms suffering under the opressive heat. He sinched down harder on the ifrits throat, he took a step back and slowly began rotating in place.*
*Dals hands, painfull as they now were, held the Ifrit under his arm and refused to let the squirming inferno under his arm have its freedome. He clenched his jaw's tightly knowing he didn't have much time before the Ifrit worked up the energy to burn him again. He spun faster and faster a cyclone of fire, leaves, and voices full of battle rage. When suddenly the torrent couldn't last any longer Dal grabbed the ifrits arm and let go of his head, using the force of the spin to drive the ifrit directly into the ground - - - place holder so i dont lose the info
*he twisted his hip and brought the ifrit over his shoulder and slammed him face first into the ground, with a roar of effort, it was clear he wasnt finished yet, he held the arm under his, and with his free hand slammed his hand on to the back of the ifrits head. He put his weight down and ran along the ground dragging the Ifrits face through the forrest earth heading directly for a large evergreen. Mud and rubble trailed behind the two as Dal gashed the ground with the ifrits face, thunder resoounded from the tree as it felt the impact, and a group of birds darted out of the shaking tree. Dal'Lumen had slammed the ifrits face into the tree with the force of a charging bull. He held his grip on the neck and spun again throwing the ifrit to the ground, but not before his charred swords had played their part, a flash of steel and they lashed out at the Ifrits fire swords quickly attempting to remove them while the ifrit was still close.*
* The Ifrit was taken by surprize, being hoisted off his feet, dragged through the filth, smashed against a tree, then thrown. Of course, being thrown, one of his flaming scimitars flew three yards away from him, well out of reach of the flaming southerner. He then smashed his empty fist against the ground, causing it to crack and dry up, resembling the sands of the south. The still cowering captives pulled farther from the fight, pressing against the woods that lined the clearing of the prayer mill. The Ifrit leapt to his feet and bounded to the Zenith Before him leaving footprints of glass where he had stepped, both hands on his Scimitar, which was raised over his right shoulder ready to strike.* " Solar! You are nothing to me! Your Essence is Pittiful and I will melt you right now!" * In a blind valerous rage, the Ifrit swung full force, his fiery Anima exploding as the wind from his swing fanned the flames of his blade* ( 7 attack suxx. 2 fire damage for striking his scimitar)
*Dal easily cought the scimitar with one of his hooks and deflected the incoming blow, he grinned at the Ifrit, knowing he had managed to disrupt the creatures mind with anger. He felt his swords grow hot, but it was not enough to do him any harm.*
* Dal's scimitars began to melt even more, losing their normal hook look and becoming more like giant Cestus'. Hot steel dripped off the hilt and tip and oto the dry ground* ( -2 defense, -1 acc, -2damage, -1 rate )
*Dal frowned at the pair of swords he had thoroughly demolished he turned his fist over and held the hilt portion of the blade out, like a punch knife he jumped up and pushed off of the tree he had his back to, and streaked down toward the Ifrit. He barred his teeth and swung down with his superman punch, he allowed the fall to take him low to the ground and after he had made his first attack he came up from under with a bladded uppercut, spun on his heel and coiled his way down like a snake getting ready to strike. All in the same motion he put his hand down on the ground and spun both of his legs to sweep the Ifrits leggs out from under him, attempting to send him back to the ground again something Dal knew would only anger the Ifrit further.* "Then your arrogance has defeated you, and you and your name will be forgotten at the hands of nothingness. Stay in the dirt and filth where you have earned your place!"
* The Ifrit, moved his hands defensively as if he still held two scimitars in them, only to fide he did not... and just one was not fast enough to stop Dal's onslought, dispite how quickly he moved. The only saving grace was the Irit's ability toretain his balance after being sweeped. He put a blade in the ground, then jumped backwards, leaving a trench where his fiery blade had been. Intuitively, he grabbed the lost blade behind him, readying it, then bringing both weapons to an defensive cross infront of him* " That was clever, Zenith... but thats a far as you are going to get. I am done toying with you."
*Dal smirked, looked at the twisted metal of the once stunningly beautiful swords wrapped around his hands and shrugged.* "Errh... I liked these swords damnit..." * He grumbled, looking back up at the Ifrit and tilted his head to the side* "I could do this all day!" *He stamped his foot into the earth, which shook under the strain. He loosened up and shook his hands loose, ducking and weaving slowly back and forth.* "You sure you don't just want to pretend to fight and save ourselves the trouble? We could even sit down and come to an agreement." *His eyes twinkled and a small smile crossed his face.*
* The Ifrit smiled, seeing that Dal was now on guard with two ruined weapons, almost totally useless. He uncrossed his weapons and gor to his feet, his white jade teeth glinting in the fire light as he smirked to the Solar* " Good form, Solar.... if only all solars could come to the same realiztion you just did... you cant beat us. Elementals will one day rule over even the gods and exalts. There is nothing you can do.... and as for an agreement.. I have one for you.. I agree to kill you... and you agree to DIE!!! * his body exploded in red and orange flames, sending the smell of singed hair and fabric all through the area, along with the screams of the captives. and from the bubble of flames and smoke, the burnning Ifrit lunged, both blades at the ready... but at the point of impact on Dal's 'weapons', The Ifrit was completely deflected, flying backwards five yards and slideing across the dirt untill he hit a tree*
*Dal was probably more surprised than the ifrit, but he didn't let it show for long. He wondered if it was Cho-Hi-Xo giving a hand in the fight, but he looked around to make sure it wasnt a result of someone else's assistance.* "Ah... yes well, can't say I didn't give you your fair chance."
* A soft glow radiated from Dal's hands. Within them, surrounded by a puddle... were the two orichalcum axes he had left back at his manse, one a bright gold, and the other darker with an almost purple sheen to it. And standing out in the crowd of captives, was Cho-Hi-Xo, smiling at Dal with his arms across his chest. He then shrugged as if to say ' wasnt me, but good job'*
*Dal suddenly realized he had the two huge axes in his hands, he shot a grin at Cho-Hi-Xo, he hoisted the Axes out to each side and charged at the Ifrit. He had no idea how to weild such weapons properly, but he figured if he swung down with them hard enough they would do the rest themselves. His feet kicked up dirt and leaves his burnt silks were tattered and trailed behind him like the spidery patturns of blood in water. His voice was a Lions and regret for whatever harm he must do to the Elemental swelled within Dal, only to be turned into righteous fury. As he charged he spoke.* "I will remember you." *Time itself held it's breath, and the silence exploded with the sound of splintering wood and a thunderous collision. Both Axes had been brought down on each side of the fallen Elemental.
* The Ifrit could not get out of the way in time, and was soon crushed beneath it. the giant tree setteled harmlessly in the center of the ring. the captives began to clap and cheer, happy to once more be free from that terrible elemental*
* The Elemental leapt out of the way of the attack, then smirked, thinking the zenith had simply missed... but only too late was it known that he had hit his mark, and it fell atop the Elemental, leaving it helpeless for now* " Ah! What have you done! Let me go!"
*Dal stepped up on top of the fallen tree that held the Elemental pinned, and sauntered over to stand over the Ifrit, crouched down and smiled.* "I've saved your life, for now. Tell me Ifrit, why do you hold such disdain for me and my kin, we've never done you or your kind any harm. Be at peace, and tell me about yourself, and I might spare your life."
*The Ifrit nodded, heaving a sigh* " Guess I have no choice. I am an elemental... I cling to whatever power I can find... I found these scimitars off the ancient preserved carcass of a preserved Dragon-Blooded. And my name is Conflar... Petren Conflar"
* The wood of the tree began to burn slowly, making a fire around him*
"Petren Conflar... Well Petren, where are you from, and why have you come to Imperveress? More power you wished to have your hands on? Power alone does not give you what you need to rule, as an elemental you should understand that all things have a cirtain harmony, destroying these peoples lives so that you can feel a little bigger is a little bit unharmonious dont you think?"
From? I am from here. I found those other elementals because we have a common goal. We partially remember the Solars and the destruction they caused on creation... we are just using the worship from these people to get stronger quicker so that we can take care of these lands. As you can see, we are all stronger than others of our species, and soon we will become dragons... we have all come to the cusp of dragonhood... * The fire grew larger as it began engulfing him*
"We have all heard stories of the way some Solars were in the past Petren, it has been a long time since older solars have influenced the younger, what makes you think that we will be the same? Why not join with me and help me rebuild and heal these lands, and eventually we can help other places in creation, we could do more together as allies than as servants and masters.... * Dal' hopped off the smoldering tree and knelt over face to face with the Elemental.* "In fighting you I have seen you have great pride, taking your power from these innocent mortals, so that you can have power you are not yet ready to have, or understand." *Dal seeing that the tree was on its way to being comprimized stood up and hoisted the Axes theateningly over the Ifrits head, prepaired to cleave the creatures neck.* "You can choose death, and never see that we only wish to help the world, you can die in front of these people and be forgotten as a monster that stood in the way of progress!" *He put Law with its counterpart in his other hand and lowered them both, his free hand came down to offer the Elemental a hand of mercy and redemption.* "Or you can choose life, and commit yourself to the idea of progress. Together we can build a better world than the one before, and your name will be that of a heroes that put aside a petty dispute so he could bring peace to a world in suffering." *Dal blazed with the radience of the Sun, like a star decended to the earth, solar light shone from him in his glory. He offered the Ifrit one final chance, his face calm as an executioners, but as peacefull as a sages'.*
The Ifrit nodded, taking in dal's words as he looked out into space. he smirked and gave a little chuckle at the points e agreed with.. and sighed at the points that he wish were not so true.* I understand all too well where you are coming from... and see that your way is good as well... but you dont need to understand my actions or my methods... tthe only thing you need to understand is that I have come too far to turn back now... there are things that dragons can do that not even the lawgivers can. Both Gods and Elementals bow to the Lesser Elemental dragons as the children of Hesiesh, Mela, Daana'd, Sextes Jyiles and Pasaip.. and as such, are given status as keepers of the law." * The tree over him was now a bonfire, blackening under the heat* " Now then..." * The Ifrit began to squirm, then thrashed, breaking out from under the tree through the burnt part over him and landing on his feet. Though covered in soot and ash, his body seemed mended some how... not as hurt as he had been before* " Thank you for the fule to heal up, but I have only two goals... continue this one... or die and start a new life later... either way, the gate lies through you" * He bent at his knees, pointing both burnning blades at Dal, his fiery anima swirling all around him like a mark of armageddon brought to Creation. His eyes were now two pools of fire with burnning tendrils licking out and up the sides of his head* " It is all or nothing, Prince of Earth! Either way, failure is not an option!"
*Dal sighed and readied his Axes.* "Then I will not hold back any longer..."
* Petren's swirling anima colapsed on him, sending tenticles of flame thrashing in all directions.. all of the caoptives move out of the way as not to get burnt to death. Catching a ride on a tendril, The ifrit slid down the practicly immaterial leg of flame and into the face of Dal, his movements flickering and lashing about like the flame itself. It was difficult to tel of the flashes of red and orange were him, the flame, or his weapons..... but just as the Ifrit was slideing to him... time began slowing down greatly and the rest of reality became grey... all but Xo*
" Dont worry, I am here to help... first, you need to commit an extra 5 motes to each axe... then, go back to exactly how you were fighting before you swords melted"
*Dal readied himself to whatever fury might come his way, but soon he noticed time slowing down, he listened to the voice and obeyed, releasing his essence into the Axes and imagined he still held hook swords within his hands. He obeyed and waited for anything other advice that might come his way.*
* once the motes were commited, reality clicked back into effect, and there was the Ifrit, ready for business and swinging like a demon*
*Dal focused on the moment, and remembered what it felt like to weild his hook swords, he continued to burn with golden light, as if the sun had guided his hands to defend him.* "Petren, you fool!"
*With a last ditch attempt Dal sacrificed his defense for sheer destructive power, He had blocked all the ifrits blows, and would bring down the mighty fist of the lawgivers upon his unpersuadable foe. He did not cry out, he did not roar with effort, he was focused, and calm as a mountain. His blows were as heavy as one as well, swinging down with such force as if to cleave the very memory of Patren from history. Each Axe Rose and fell down to petren without mercy.* "This ends!"
* The flames all around Petren moved as if they had minds of their own, his burnning eyes now crescent shaped as he took an insane smile. as each axe fell down upon the southern looking elemental, a cyclone of flame leapt from his anima and up his arm, leading a trail to which their blades might meet. The heat from the flames was intense, able to burn any mortal weapon to a puddle of slag, but couldnt so much as heat Xo's heirloom Grimcleavers. The now glass floor under the Ifrit's feet made it easier for him to slide side to side and deflect, catching an axe with one scimitar and knocking it to the side with the other* " You will have to do better than that if you want to survive, Lawgiver! You are begenning to show your lack of essence! I almost forgot you were still a baby Solar"
* When he deflected the final axe swing, Petren pressed his weight against Dal's axe, spring boarding himself into the air, and with a twist of his torso, put hiimself into position of Dal's exposed back. Using the momentum of the initial strike, he held his burnning scimitars out and let himself spin, once more exploding into the apocalyptic cyclone of flaming holocast, turnning the rest of the dry, sandy clearing into a glass floored arena*
Dal grew more stoic as the elemental fell further into insane rage. Each blow was very narrowly blocked, the axes were not nearly as easy to defend with as his swords had been but at least they stood up to the abuse of the fire and prevented him being burnt. He strained and pumped the smallest portion of essence into each incoming blow as to stop it. His anima banner exploded sending two massive arms tall as the trees shooting from the ground where Dal stood, as they reached their zenith they spread open and embraced the heavens two dazzlingly bright golden pillars punching into the sky. By the power given to me by the Unconqoured sun I will defeat you, I shall build a temple of unmatched glory in his honor... in memory of today, SUN GIVE ME THE STRENGTH I NEED TO HONOR YOU!
* Just as before, time began to slow down and turnned grey as reality melted like candle wax. Out from the crowd of captives, strode Xo... still smiling, still calm as ever, though this was a situation of life or death* " You know Dal... I have been taking note of this situation... and you really need to do something about him... your essence is running low, where as his has not even reached half. The only way to do this is to call on the inner power of your darker axe, Most Dreaded Punishment at Law's Edge, then hit him with everything you have. the strength of this weapon is that it can punish those who are law breakers. What you need to do it list off the victum's sins, and the more offenses on the doomed offender, the stronger Most Dreaded Punishment at Law's Edge will bite down... Make this one count, Zenith... I could have done it... that means you can too" * Xo then walked back into the crowd of people, causing time to return to normal*
Ave disconnected.
*Dal started quietly, and grew louder with each sin he listed. He drew up his Axes each word was a foot step, closer and closer he charged with every ounce of strength he could summon up.* "Conspiracy... Kidnapping... demon summoning..." *He drew closer and closer, beads of sweat and blood falling like Diamonds and Rubies to the glass forrest floor.* "Assaulting an imperial ruler... Forming an unsanctioned religion... attempted usurpation of Celestial powers... Theivery from the dead... attempted murder..." * Dal'Lumens Anima banner trailed behind, giving Dal the look of having wings, his charred and shredded pants floated behind him like flames of Crimson and Gold, his feet beat on faster and faster, cracking the glass floor into thousands of tiny shards under the weight of each footprint.* "Destruction of private property... exploitation of mortals... Threatening the emperor... public mayhem... manslaughter... SLAVERY... AND MURDER!" As the last Sin resounded around the canopys of the trees and the glass crator, Dal brought everything to bare, every ounce of being that you could dump he did. A Maelstrom of golden light, and shining Oricalcum, flashed and exploded with such furry that the entire clearing trembled, Dal'Lumens Anima banner seemed to collapse it's massive grip down on the elemental. It was all he had, if this didn't do the job, it was game over. Even the air seemed to have left the crater from the force of the blow, Dal hoped his prayers would be answered and he rest at last...* "Your.... Sins..." *he whispered*
" It all comes down to this then!.. here it comes!! " * His anima banner exploded once more, sweeping flames and whipping up the area around him, causing all the captives to cover their eyes and bodies from the searing heat with their clothing. The body of the Ifrit was hoisted up by the flames as if from the hand of a giant red and orange behemoth. his body seemed to relax, his arms laying at either side, his blades pointing out in crucifex position. He was then propped upright, and in a single motion, exploded into that swirling morass of red and orange heated death. the body of Petren began dissolving into the flames, leaving only his darker burnning eyes, and the two swinging blades in the sapient vortex of fire. After a moment of stillness, the Elemental death engine began its rapid dash right at the charcing Zenith, leaving pools of still molten glass in his passing. The roar of the flames were indistinguishable to the sounds of a great elemental dragon's cries* " Know your reckoning!!!"
* And when they met in the middle, a great clash of light erupted, Both from fire and from sunlight, blinding everyone in the area for a few seconds and standing as a becon which could be seen as far as Ramoth. The sounds of reality itself quaking as the dragon lines began tieing up in the fabric of creation itself. When the light subsided, The two combatants stood a few feet beyond eachother, weapons ready and completely still. The Ifrit smiled and opened his mouth, rasping out a few words* "My name is Petren Conflar... please remember it.... because when I reincarnate... I wont remember it.... I will need it back if I am to help you in my new life....." * And at that very moment, both of the Ifrit's arms fell off, then the upper part of his torso slid off his lower at about a 56 degree angle. His legs then erupted into a bonfire, which quickly died down.. the rest of his body dissolves.. leaving only thise two burnning scimitars behind*
* Dal would quickly notice that he was now wearing a set of shimmering golden set of samurai esque armor made from pure solar essence.... which looked exactly like the armor that Xo wore*
*Dal grinned sheepishly, He lifted a victorious fist at the croud and as he turned his head to face Xo the world split itself in several peices and spun arround and arround, his leggs could no longer hold him, his Axes fell from his hands landing with their blades in the ground, the last remaining sunlight faded from Dal as the last of his had been spent. His eyes rolled into the back of his head and the world went dark, the last thing he remembered was a falling sensation as if he were slowly sinking into the water, and the sound of cracking glass. The world went dark and silent, and the Admiral Dal'Lumen lay unconcious in a pool of his own blood.*
* As before, Xo stepped out of the crowd, this time not bothering to distort time at all, simply knelt over the burnt and bleeding body of the Solar, then heaved a sigh* " Well, at least you are alive.... your swords are ruined.. but those can be replaced...you kept that name right?... cause when he comes, if he is even three quarters that strong, he is someone we want... oh yeah, you wont die.. I have stableized your condition"
