*now that the fiery anima had gone down and he had come to terms with all of the new assets of being an Exalt, Mabija decided that a visit to the local Solar was in order. The trip was short and soon he was ogling all of the unique properties that the Manse offered while he waited for Lirimana, trying to remember what she looked like. His hair had developed yellow on the tips of his hair where it was once the bright red he had been born with. He had worn a nice white jacket with yellow trim and black pants so as to be more presentable for the elder Exalt*

*Lirimana came down the hall to find a rather attractive red-haired man waiting for her. She bit her lip and tried desperately not to blush. It was a terrible habit that got her nowhere with men and women who didn't have a fetish for that sort of thing and she was trying really hard to get a hold of herself. She smoothed out her now-wavy hair, the remnants of a full day of dreadlock removal still making itself known in the soft crimp pattern. She had now gotten a pair of tan cotton pants and a white cotton v-neck sleeveless shirt*

*he grinned at the dark-skinned woman and looked over her appreciatively. She was kind of cute, but he had business to do*

My name is Mabija and I very recently exalted into a Dragon-Blooded. How can I be of service to the empire?

Come this way. I'm not the one who assigns duties and roles in the empire, Ress is. But of course that would make sense since he is the Emperor and all.. I'm going to call him up through the Manse and see what he wants to do from there. He might want to talk to you in person or he might be fine with the Manse connection, but we'll find out

*about the time she stopped talking they had arrived in the hearthroom. She fiddled with the controls until it connected with the appropriate channels*

* Ress's glowing figure appeared next to the two, looking slightly tired, but very interested* " Yes Lirimana... what can I do for you? * He fixed his crown on his head, then smoothed out the wrinkles in his robes. Perhaps he was resting, but either way this was very unexpected*

*Lirimana watched her very sexy Emperor smooth out his clothes and felt a hint of jealousy that he was probably recovering from a bout of incredible sex. She was going to have to get some of that, too... She managed to wrench her attention away from his lips and gestured to the other good-looking man who happened to be next to her* Emperor Ress, this man says that he recently Exalted and wishes to be of service to the empire. Since that isn't my area I brought him here so he could speak with you. Would the Manse communicator be sufficient or should I send him to the Imperial Manse?

" Exalted?" * He stood up straight, making himself look once more like the regal ruler of these huge lands* " Yes, have him step forward. Do we have another Solar in our fold or a Lunar?"

*the red-haired man next to Lirimana stood up taller and tried not to huff, looking rather insulted* Actually, sir, I'm a Dragon-Blooded...

"A Dragon-Blooded?" * Ress looked confused, but composed himself quickly* Well, I would like to welcome you to your new power. Now, What aspect are you? We currently have a Water Aspect on our lands. Also, are you currently married or involved with another Dragon-Blooded or Patrician?"

*was he that innocuous?....* He gestured to the yellow tips on his bright red hair* Actually, I'm a Fire Aspect and while I have been known to woo the occasional woman I am not currently invested in any permanent relationships with anyone

" No?... humm" * Ress rubbed his chin as he thought on what had been said.. a male fire aspect who was single.. not too tall an order to fill* " I see. Well then, we may just have to fix that for you. I am prepared to offer you Lordship in my empire, complete with a satrapy to look over, an arsenal to use, and in due time, a legion to command. The only stipulations are that I will require your loyalty, and in due time, you must marry a Fire Aspected Dragon-Blooded woman"

Where would you be planning to assign me? I have a home in Kideshen, but as I live alone I am capable of moving. I used to be in the Great Forks Guard before I moved here. As for marrying a Fire-Aspected woman, what sort of rules do you have governing that? Do I have no choice on who like in the Realm? Are there breeding requirements like in the Realm?

"Assigning you? Right now, I would say you are in good hands under Lirimana in Kideshen, but this empire will expand, and one day, I hope you have you governing a principality outside these walls. You would be wise to take this offer while my Empire is still growing. Now as for your wife... yes, you will definitely have a say in this. Basically, any Fire aspect woman you like is yours... now finding them, just leave that up to me."

Alright, why wouldn't I be willing to accept your offer now? Is there something I should know that might be a deal-stresser?

" Deal stresser? I would say that this is a dangerous position. You will also have to deal with the possibility of an uprising, Raids, Insurgence, Behemoth attack, Wyld hunt, Demon strike and Deathlord assault. I will not lie to you, this is a dangerous job... but its rewards will also be great"

I'm already familiar with the world of combat and while I might not have led an entire army I have led smaller groups. I'm willing to learn what I need to in order to flourish in my job. Now the other question I had asked was about breeding regulations or requirements. Are there any and if so, what?

"Breeding Regulations? I don't follow... what exactly are you asking?"

Well, in the Realm Dragon Blooded are expected to have a certain number of children in specific time periods etcetera

"Oh! Well, no set amount of children are really necessary... but... for every child you have, I will pay you. You are not required to have children, but there will be rewards, and if they Exalt, the rewards will be greater. Of course, these rules are subject to negotiations... you are, of course, the first single Dragon-Blooded in the empire"

Oh, so the Water-Aspect you mentioned is taken?... Damn. You know, having a label like that is almost depressing *Mabija chuckled and swept a hand through his hair* Well, I'm fine with the offer. Do you need me to move anywhere so I'm easier to reach? By the way, my name is Mabija

* He nodded slowly, looking out in the direction of Bezair, then back* " The water aspect is a man, so that wouldn't work anyway. Well hello Mabija, and welcome to your new position, should you choose to accept"

I thought I said I accepted already. You're right, though, in terms of child-bearing it really wouldn't.. Oh well. Shall I start work on forming a defense force for the empire, then?


: " Feel free to recruit if you like... just let Lirimana know, so she can get compensation for them. I thank you, and soon I will be meeting you so we may finish our deal"

*Lirimana nodded at the sign from Ress and she disconnected their transmission* Well, Mabija, congratulations. Let me know when you put together a squad and I'll get the money. Good luck
