*Dals face ran through a gamut of expressions, like something had shorted out in his brain which governed how he should react to Dargo, he shook his head and Smirked.*
"Oh, quite the contrary Lirimana... I'm a dainty little butterfly!"
*He walked rather casually off the edge of the Island, looking like he had not noticed that the ground in front of him had ended. He landed atop the Warbird with a boom.
The warbird strained noisily and dipped a few arm spans before correcting itself with a distinctive air of indignity. Dal found a hand hold on the roof and swung himself into his seat. He smiled innocently at the other occupants.*
"Ready?"

* Tari nodded, still partially dazed, but slowly returning to reality*
" Be careful you all... I remember shadows attacking Boots... or..."
* she sighed as she centered herself, ridding herself of the haze and the slow stream of memories that came with it*
" Just be careful... this is something I know Wave can't stop, and if the stories of the Ana-.... Solar and Lunar Exalt's strength... if they hold truth... maybe this can happen."
* Quar placed his hand on Tari's shoulder and gave her a pat, then nodded to the Exalts, agreeing with her words*
" I can take Tari back down to the ground... I am a lot quicker at down than up. I'll take her back to her home, and if any of you need me, I will be at The Imperial Manse."
*With a flash of sand and a a small gout of rock fragments, Quar's body exploded into his natural dragon form, of which Tari quickly climbed on the back of.*
* From inside the Warbird, Sentinel stuck his arm out and gave them the thumbs up, letting them all know he was ready when they were*

Resplendent Wood 3,
*already inside the transport, her ebon feathers ruffled and puffed out while she waited. A disgruntled chirping sound came from her as she was rocked uncomfortably by Dal's heavy drop overhead. She made a sound like she was clearing her throat and proceeded to speak*
Shall we get going? There are enough seats for all in here

Resplendent Wood 3,
Oh! Well, I guess you dented the Warbird for nothing, eh, Dal?
*Lirimana chuckled and climbed inside with the two animals who happened to be human.... ish. As soon as she was settled she looked out the window, waiting for Dal so they could get going and hopefully avoid these "shadows" that Tari mentioned*
Hey, Sentinel, did you hear the comment Tari made about the shadows attacking her? Any idea what that could be?

*Dal was seated comfortably and turned to looked over at Lirimana as she climbed in beside him, she seemed oblivious to his presence in the Warbird. He wondered how she could have missed him when they were all crammed in such a small space.*
"Expecting someone else Lirimana?"
*He leaned over from the right side of her to see out the same window.*
"It is a Warbird I doubt I was able to do it any harm."
*He leaned forward and patted Sentinel on the Shoulder.*
"Good to go!" *He returned the thumbs up*

* When everyone had secured themselves upon the warbird, the weighted first age vehicle gave a start, then quickly lowered to the courtyard of the pyramid shaped Imperial Manse. The warbird touched down rather hard, but left nobody harmed.
Within sight, the Lesser Elemental Dragon Quar crash landed just outside the courtyard in a cloud of dirt and dust.
When the Warbird opened, Sentinel was already on the other side, looking somewhere between hopeful and worried*
" Well... I guess this is it... no more time to waste. do whatever you need to do to prepare for the trial here in a few days... I am not sure what to expect, and it seems the Emperor has... become rather confused in his incarceration. If there is anythign I can do to help... let me know..."

Resplendent Wood 3,
Confused?
*Arachnia was already out of the Warbird and her feathered guise, running her hands down her body to smooth out any wrinkled material*
I was with him last night, has something developed?....
*there was a hint of worry in her voice which she forced out a moment after it had appeared. The Empress saw no use in showing more than necessary, especially with the trial getting closer*

Resplendent Wood 3,
*Lirimana turned to grin at Dal'Lumen, putting together when he had gotten in the aircraft. It hadn't been that he was planning on being on the roof, just that he was performing a rather showy display of physical prowess to get into his seat. She chuckled a little before answering*
I stopped watching after you landed on the hood, guess I didn't see you hop in. My bad
*When she got out she looked around for Sayana, taking note of the conversation starting between Sentinel and Arachnia. If Ress really was getting more confused that would be bad for the*
Hey, anyone see the kitty cat?

*Sentinel was silent for a few moments.. weighing out how exactly he should put this*
" It looks like Emperor Ress... does not remember what happened the night of the assault. We do not know why his memory is failing him, but whatever he knew about that day, is now lost...
And as for your Lunar Friend... I am not certain. She is not coming up on my sensors, but I will keep a look out"

Dal'Lumen slinked out of the Warbird fluidly, feet landing with a small puff of dust and grit on the ground.
"More memory loss... What is happening in this empire." *He said gravely.*
"Time is short my friends, if the Emperor cannot remember what happened it is all the more important that we are accurate in discovering the truth! If there is nothing else you need of me I really must be going back to Beziar to ready myself for the trial."
*He looked from face to face, patiently offering to anyone the chance to pose any final questions before he made his way.*
"Ah, I suggest you get to work tracking down these mysterious strangers Dargo, if you only work in bounties perhaps you should talk to Arachnia about it."

Resplendent Wood 3,
*Arachnia reached into her bodice and retrieved a vial containing the strand of golden hair she had picked up before they had met up with Dargo. Opening the top she knelt down in front of Dargo and held the vial out for him to scent*
The Emperor has been having difficulty remembering, it's true. I visit him every night and I believe that it is a ploy by those attempting to discredit him. A "if he can't remember for sure how do we know he didn't do it?" situation
*a quick glance down at Dargo brought her attention to the other task*
Does the scent on this strand match the one that was found on the floating island?

*Dargo leaned forward and smelled the hair that Arachnia had held out for him. With not a second wasted, the wolverine nodded his furry badger-like head*
" Yes, the are from the same person."

Resplendent Wood 3,
Alright, thank you Dargo. Now, I have planning and training to finish. Dargo, I believe that you have a room in the Imperial Manse. If you like you can follow me back and we can reconvene the evening before the trial. Not too late, though since we all need our rest for the evening before. In fact, all may stay in a room in the Imperial Manse the night before that way there is no need to travel such lengths. That includes both Tari and Roaring Wave
*of course, travel was only part of the Empress's motivation. Not only was the Imperial Manse safer than most of the standard homes, it was also a place where she could keep an eye out for the others. As it was, one of her Lunars suddenly disappeared and the other had become entranced by the Armory. Those problems would be addressed in time, a time that came after the trial date*
With that, I take my leave. Safe travels, then. Zeriku, please return to your usual spot when you finish taking the others home
*the Empress placed the now-sealed vial back into her bodice and shifted into her raven shape once again. A quick take-off and her dark shape became a silhouette against the sky on its way to the Imperial Manse*

Resplendent Wood 3,
So we can't find her? She was with us on the island. Sentinel could you please run a check again in a couple hours and keep a cursory background alert for her?
*Lirimana furrowed her brow as she felt a touch of worry. That place wasn't exactly safe and who knows if she disappeared instead of sticking with Dal'Lumen like she was supposed to. Maybe Arachnia had a reason for being so possessive of these young Lunars.. Were they all so unreliable? Dargo was extremely hyper but at least he hadn't run away yet. As she thought to herself she went back into the Manse, knowing that Zeriku wouldn't let her anywhere that Arachnia wouldn't. The Empress was a tightwad but maybe she had reasons. Of course, that didn't mean that she had to like or agree with them... When she got home she went over the plans she had made for the new buildings in Kideshen, saying hello to Sai before holing up in her study for more work*
