Resplendent Wood, 3
Dal slid a sideways hand in the direction of the squid as if to say, 'be my guest.' He reached down and gathered up the Tentacles again, and nodded at her.
"Please if you don't mind!"
.........
After much toiling, and strained dragging, the squid was tucked away in Arachnias huge silver manse. Dal then turned and walked back to the familiar marble bridge to the Marina. A few long graceful strides later, he was standing at the door with his huge metal hands tugging at the inner edge. It was nice to not immediately fall under siege the second he stepped foot on the bridge.
*With a tug, the doors were flung open and the riches of the marina were there before him; ancient wonders beckoning to be used again. His eyes widened with amazement at what lay inside.*
....
It was enough to bring a tear to even the sternest veteran sea dog's eye. Most of the ships inside hardly looked like any sort of ship one would have seen before. The smaller ones were easier to recognize, as he had seen such ships in the service of the realm. Ships which his captain, a man of colorful profession - did everything he could to stear clear of.
*Dal'Lumen and Bine ducked in through the huge doorway as if trying to avoid disturbing anyone, and walked down the polished floors of the Marina, taking in the ships as he passed them. One particularly huge ship loomed over him, looking rather a bit more like something that could fly through the air - it was astoundingly beautiful to behold.*
"Oh... We are guna have some fun with these beauties...
I reckon I'll take the big'n..."
Oddly, but still quite understandably, Dal'Lumen had reverted into a very rough sailors manner of speaking.
