Dal'Lumen looked at Sentinel in such a confounded way one might have guessed that sentinel had just told him that the stone would require regular watering and feeding, and be taken on walks at least once a day.

"What do you mean wait, am I just supposed to keep carrying it around until it decides to do something?"

*Dal raised the stone up closer to his eyes and squinted at it, one eyebrow raised and his pair of lips stretched sideways. He slowly jabbed a single finger at the stone, and then quickly poked it a couple more times almost expecting it to jump up and react. Moments later his eyes relaxed and then blinked up to sentinel again.*

"well, with my luck its special ability is likely to make sure that trouble finds me... It will certainly be interesting to find out! Is there, some way for me to carry it safely?"

*Dal'Lumen indicated that he didn't have much cargo space on his person, except for perhaps wrapping it within a roll of his silk pants.*

" Safe way to carry it? I would say a pocket or one of Quie-Ra's burlap oat sacks is safe enough... if you fell, it would have an easier time breaking your leg than you breaking it... not that it will break your leg.... its just... hard"

* Sentinel chuckled some as he thought about how he had phrased all that*

" I wouldn't worry about it, Dal'lumen. When the time comes, I'm sure it will let its special ability be known, worry not!

Now then... what would you say is the next course of action? there should still be five minutes or so until Quar-Zagot arrives"

Dal shook his head, and an easy grin passed to his face.

"I would say thats all we have time for Sentinel, however... I was surprised to see another you, down there by the Imperial Manse! I don't doubt that I am ignorant of many things in this empire, for now, but I couldn't help but notice that you, the other one, seemed quite agitated!"

*shrugging and shaking his head sympathetically, to avoid stirring up the same mood in this Sentinel.*

"Something Lirimana was saying perhaps, but more importantly, If you are able to project yourself more than in one place at a time, are the other versions of you different in any way? I mean each manse is unique, is it possible that each one portrays you uniquely as well?"

Dal grinned innocently at Sentinel, hoping that idea wasn't entirely false.

* Sentinel Laughed once more in amusement, not trying to make Dal feel stupid, but in that it was very simple to him, as if Dal had asked ' what is 2x2?'*

" Actually, the manse that projects is the Imperial Manse. The only reason I may move outside the boundaries of the Imperial Manse, is because the manses here are all sympathetically linked.
They all form a cube that is this Empire's nervous system.

you are correct in the fact that each manse is 'alive' and has its own 'personality', but no, transmitting myself through other manses arrays does not color my personality... oh! and if you are wondering, I can split my concousness between multiple ports through redirecting my own essence flow in different directions and to different manses... neither self is as strong as if I were singular, but it could be what is needed at the time"

Dal nodded along in wide eyed curriosity as Sentinel explained the intricacies of the manse networks.

"That must be quite the thing to experience, but I'm sure it is second nature to you by now!"

Not picking up the sense that Sentinel had left anything important out of his answer, Dal returned his gaze to the screen where Lirimana and Quar-Zagot would soon arrive at their destination.

"They should be getting close, does it look like they are on a course that will intersect under the influence of a manse Sentinel?

" I would imagine they are almost there... and as for falling under the influence of a manse, I am afraid not yet... * He seemed to zone out for a moment or two, then nodded and gave a chuckle*

" Perfect. they will now fall within the reach of Arania's manse. We can visit them from here.. but I will have to return the reach to normal once it is done... that power had to be taken from somewhere after all."

Watching the screen attentively, Dal'Lumen noticed as the miniature images of Lirimana and Quar halted abruptly and became separate from each other again.

"Looks like they made it, can you keep that spot as marked sentinel? Lets go and see if Lirimana's found anything... that is if she knows her up from her down after that trip!"

Dal' walked back over to the water dish and waited for the light to reveal the new location.

"Hope its not a too much of a bother for you to set it up again, is it? I'm willing to give it a try myself!"

Sentinel gave a nod, then began pressing the buttons and moving levers on the console. the sequence was not difficult, just a bit long. Just as before, the hologram appeared, showing Lirimana and Quar standing around an 'X' on the ground*

Dal turned arround shortly after Sentinel began the seguence again, he saw for the second time most of the required steps, the first few, which he had just missed, were still fresh enough in Dal's mind from the first time he had seen it fortunatly. he nodded silently, more to himself than anything.

"Got it."
