For now I only have one question remaining, and that is why you chose this spot to reside after the incident. Some of the others of your kind are around the sites of death, yet you are here
*Arachnia raised a single slender black brow at him, the depths of her black gaze fixed on the spirit. He was an interesting one, she would have to come back and visit now and again. He could be good conversation when Ress was busy..*

[glow=red,2,300]" why do I stay?.... this is where I saw it... the greatest murder I have ever seen.... almost a score of Dragon-Blooded doing battle with the Emperor, Bo-Ki-Sa-Chi... The former Empress slipped off to her manse during the scuffle.... he killed almost all of them... then hobbled into the manse... where he died..... it was amazing... exquisite... masterful..... superb.... I doubt I will ever see anything so..... perfect"
* He sighed, then shook his hiddious head*
" The others were elsewhere when the murders happened... I am bound here now... I will not leave until I see a suitable murder...." [/glow]

I see, I suppose that makes sense
*Arachnia nodded at the notion of why he was where he was and why he couldn't leave. Still, her previous incarnation left Bo-Ki-Sa-Chi to run to her manse? That couldn't be true, she remembered dying for him... This would take thought later. Right now Ress needed her and Ress was her love, no time to think of her past self's transgressions... Night was coming soon and she needed to sleep after this, the others should be on their way to do their duty. She would sneak off to Ress and sleep next to him for the night, hidden in his clothes. It was only fitting and she hoped that it would give him comfort in this night of discomfort. Maybe in the next few days she would take a few new shapes, at least one more anyway. During all of this thought, Arachnia nodded to the Bloody Hand and bowed*
Thank you for your help once more, I will come again if for nothing than to visit. That is, if you'd like the company
*Arachnia's lips curved into a beautiful smile, her body just having finished rising from its expression of gratitude*

[glow=red,2,300]* The spectral form nodded, sighing once more as it then gave a bow*
" Thank you Empress... I will see you again then......perhaps I will one day see an equally exquisite murder.. good luck...." [/glow]

Good evening, Old One
*she smiled at the old spirit and turned to the edge of the Manse and jumped off of it, her form shifting and shrinking until the wind caught her wings and she banked and soared towards the stockades. As she arrived, Arachnia saw them taking Ress away to his prison and the surge of anger from before flared in her heart. Following on silent wings, she took refuge from sight and waited until there were only a few guards left before changing into the spider that was her namesake and used the growing darkness to shield her as she wound her way around the guards and into his holding room*

* The guards took Ress out his stockades carefully, on edge, in case their Exalted captive decided to attack back.
Ress' face held an expression of contemplation, calm despite the situation he was in.
without a struggle, the guards took him to the 10x10x6 wooden prison that was made for him and locked him up, not a word said by any of them.
Ress' arms were chained together, as were his legs in an attempt to keep him bound, but based on the whispers around the tents that surrounded the prison, few believed that either the chains or the prison kept him captive... perhaps it was Zealous Mongoose, many thought.
As the heavy redwood door closed in front of him and locked, Ress plopped down upon the soft earth that was his floor. He sighed as he looked up through one of the barred windows in his prison, gazing upon the waining crescent moon.
Unlike his usual lively and charismatic self, Ress seemed tired and lifeless. He rested his forearms on his knees, keeping right on with his stargazing*

*through the window crawled a black widow spider that jumped off of the edge and floated down on a gossamer strand until it landed on the ground next to Ress's foot. It crawled up his leg and sat back, waggling the front two legs at Ress. Tiny silver tattoos spread out over the black body of the spider as it sat there. She really wanted to shift into her human shape and hold Ress in her arms, but Arachnia new better with the guards so close. She could shift fast, but not that fast.. Besides that she didn't want to get Ress into any more trouble than before*

* Ress did not notice the spider crawling on him as he continued staring out the window at the stars. He sat like this for a few moments, until he smirked and spoke up*
" What are you doing here? Come to gloat? don't waste your breath"
* The sound of a windchuime could be heard just outside the slotted window, though nothing could be seen just yet*
" Strangely enough, Everything. Thanks for the concern"
* The bell chimed again, this time more rapidly, causing Ress to laugh*
" Then I am a fool... but what does that make you? Perhaps the only thing more foolish than a fool, is a fool who hangs them self with their own intentions..."
* Ress was silent for a moment as he thought, then laughed a bit before speaking*
" You are a Primordial then! and its only a matter of time until they find out what really happened... then what will you do? Its good that you keep yourself out of sight... maybe they wont find and kill you"

*the silver tattoos disappeared from sight instantly, leaving the black spider absorbed into the night and motionless on Ress's leg. This strange bell chiming... and Ress was conversing with it? Arachnia concentrated on the sound of the chiming, focusing on interpreting it so that she could hear both ends of the conversation. Try as she might, the Widow couldn't get her mind around those noises. But who could make something like that and would involve themself in a situation like this one? She had to remember, for Ress's sake! This was something very important, she had to figure out who it could be. Dammit... What's this? This being wasn't a Primordial like Ress was assuming, it was some sort of an Exalt. The memories were faint, but it was true. It was an Exalt type that she had dealt with in her previous life, one that they all had. Why couldn't she remember more? Did this Exalt have power over one's memories?...*{{4 successes Intelligence+Linguistics to interpret the chimes. Difficulty 10.. *The chiming returned once more, causing Ress to have another bout of laughter, wiping away a fake tear from his eye as he mocked whatever it was on the other side of the door*
" I knew that. Do you think I am a fool? But here is something that you don't know, The answer was no before... and its no now. My allies, along with our new friend, Dal'lumen, will send you back to where you came... that is, if they don't kill you instead..... now leave.. that is all I have to say to you"
* The chime rang out one last time.. before the presence faded... leaving them alone. Ress sighed in relief when he felt the presence left. He looked out the slits in his door to the stars, smiling a half smile*
" Maybe I can find whatever strength my last self left me and use that... there has to be something... I was chosen for a reason after all..... I will simply have to wait and see what my trial will bring."

*Arachnia's still and silent black body remained as it was for a few more minutes after Ress had finished his own monologue just in case someone was still there. At least this thing could be destroyed, somehow.. She couldn't help but wonder what that question was, and how Ress could understand the chiming when she could not. Of course, language was more of an Eclipse trait, but she couldn't even come close to comprehending... Might as well ask Ress, hmm? A minute more she waited before crawling off of Ress's lap and over to his hand. Raising a single leg, Arachnia brushed it repeatedly over Ress's arm so that he could notice her presence. As much as she liked this shape, it was about time to get a new one. Looks like she had a new task when the morning comes.. She didn't want her Mate to be afraid of being bitten, so she remained where she was, a very strange course of action for your typical poisonous spider. She was hoping that he wouldn't make a big scene in case that thing was still watching*

*Ress looked down at the spider on his hand and smiled, holding his hand out flat to be as non threatenning as possable to the spider. there was a time in his life when he would have killed the vermin... but now that he had a mate that was a spider, he was far more tolerant of them...especially of black widows like this one*
" You will all have to work together... pool your resources... be a team... thats the only way I can get out of here alive... Please spider... tell my mate"
* he slowly put his hand down against the ground, allowing the spider to get up and scamper off*

*as Arachnia was set back down on the ground she sighed internally. Perhaps Ress assumed that all black widows were this docile? Oh well, it looked like she wouldn't get to spend the night with her Mate like she had hoped. A longing crept into her, a desire to hold Ress in her arms and kiss him as she usually did. But now wasn't the time, he made it so and he had a point. Turning and climbing up the wall to the window, she looked around before shifting into a snowy owl and flying off silently in the opposite direction of the guards so that their backs were to her. No use causing more problems for Ress than he already had.. Since it was night, she made her way to one of the fields where she intended to hunt mice and or rats, both of their shapes would prove useful..*
