*Lirimana's footsteps continued in the rhythm that they had adopted for the past hour or so, slowing down now that she was close to the Manse that she stayed in with Sai-Ren-Kurn. Once she reached the door she simply opened it and went in, what with her living there, too, and all. There were beads of sweat trickling down her dark face and a few droplets glistened in her hair and on her chest. The Perfected Boots were on her feet and she walked quickly through the halls looking for Sai-Ren-Kurn, checking the control room and her sleeping quarters before everywhere else were she not to find her there. As soon as she saw the damp-skirted Goddess, Lirimana smiled and went over to her and kissed her hand with a wink*
Hello, Sai, as I'm sure you know, I have something I'd like to ask. Do you have a minute, damp beauty?
*despite her words Lirimana was just a little breathy and was also keeping her heartbeat in order. With a quick flick of her wrist she had grabbed the towel in her bag and wiped the perspiration from her face and then let it fall to her chest where she dabbed her breasts dry as well*

* The small field spirit looked up at the solar who kissed her hand, looking as distant and confused as she always did, but smiled a bit, happy to see her Exalted room mate* " Hello Liri! What is it you want to know?

*Lirimana grinned in return at the Goddess's smile, damn she was cute! She took a seat next to Sai-Ren-Kurn and leaned to the side of the couch they were on. Still a bit of a smile on her face, though that could simply be how her face had set itself, she turned to make sure she was facing the Spirit and nodded*
Well, as you probably realized, many of the people in this town died the other day because of the rain of arrows turning them into food. And even though it looks terribly suspicious, I know it wasn't Ress. However, from my recollection, the arrows were coming from the direction of the Central Manse. Since they had to fly over your fields, I was wondering if you noticed anything odd about the arrows themselves, their flight patterns, anything. Did anything happen that was out of the ordinary over the two weeks before the attack? Have any of the other Field Gods said anything to you and what about the Bloody Hands, have you seen any of them around? Maybe even any other Spirits that aren't common passerby

* Sai looked upwards and too the left as she pondered this question, swinging her sandaled feet as she thought. She then nodded, turning her almond shaped eyes to the copper spider* " There was something strange... the arrows arced before they came down...... I am not certain... but if Emperor Ress were to fire an arrow from his manse.. wouldn't his arrow find a straight path? But still.. I know little of the power of Reigh of Ress.. or Ress himself for that matter"

*Lirimana nodded and scratched her head a little before looking at Sai-Ren-Kurn. Her face kept its smile and she nodded*
To be honest, I don't think any of us really know the Emperor. I admit I've been quite busy with renovations and haven't had too much time to find out about his past, though I probably know more than Towering Oak or the new one, Dal'Lumen. I leave the most knowledged position for Arachnia, of course.. I would have to agree, though, because if Ress would have shot those arrows he would have intended for them to fly straight. I assume, perhaps too soon, that Ress doesn't know all of the powers of Reign of Ress and so I feel that it is even more unlikely that he would have done it. Besides, Ress nearly bit my head off for almost making a decision that would have affected our city badly. Of course, I really should study up on the workings of cities, since it's an area I really don't know about.. Why preserve a city just to destroy it within the same month? He wouldn't. I wonder if the Bloody Hands have anything to do with this. Which direction did they arc from, Sai? And when in their flight did they move as they did?
*The Twilight cocked her head to the side as she watched the Goddess process. She was trying not to ask too many questions at once. As Lirimana thought over the short answer she had gotten she realized that Sai hadn't mentioned anything to do with the Spirits in question. Something else she would have to have her answer..*

* The small rice spirit looked to the ceiling, swinging her feet a bit as she thought, then turned her gaze once more to Lirimana* " Its hard to say when exactly it arced.. it was before it flew over my field... and the only place they could have come from.. is the direction of the Imperial Manse. Though I don't believe it myself... it looks like Ress is the only person who could have done it.... bloody hands?.. spirits of murder? * her head tilted as she took this in* " Maybe... they could have had a hand in this.. its hard to say exactly if they did or not.. you would have to ask them... yourself to get such an answer.. but they are not light barterers"

Have you seen any of the Bloody Hands? Yes, I know a little about them myself.. Were there any other Gods or Elementals that aren't normally seen in the area around the city or your field? I don't believe Ress did it either, however, there are those who are adamantly opposed to that idea. Is there anything else that you might want to bring to my attention?
*Lirimana leaned her head forward and rested her chin on the palm of her hand where it sat with her elbow resting on her thigh. She looked quite relaxed, but the small furrow in her brow said otherwise. She was concentrating on the task set before her, planning ahead as well. She was thinking of checking again on the people in her city to see how they were dealing with this; those who were left behind*

"umm..." * The rice goddess once more looked to the celing, perhaps trying to remember by re-enacting the event in her head. She then leapt in excitement*
" Oh! Quar-Zagot! He barreled through here on the day of the attack! I did not think much of it.. but not long after he ran through, the arrows started raining down! I can't believe I didn't remember it before! It must have been him! I remember him in the 1st age. He was a nobody among the elemental task forces and resented it. Now that he has power, he is abusing it."
* The rice spirit nodded, less angry that people were killed and more proud of herself for solving the riddle of the raining death*

*Lirimana watched the Rice Goddess as she processed the question and her face turned into amusement as Sai decided that simply because Quar-Zagot ran through just before meant he was guilty. She was just so damn cute.. All that really meant was that she needed to talk to the Elemental, he could have been running for various reasons. She smiled and leaned forward, letting her lips brush against Sai's cheek in a soft butterfly kiss before standing up*
Thank you, Sai, with that new information, I think I need to talk to Quar-Zagot. He may or may not have been a cause of the arrows, but I want to find out what he knows.. One way or another, he knows something. Was there anything else you might want to tell me before I go?
*that look of accomplishment on Sai's face was just so adorable that she couldn't dispel it completely, not without giving some credit to her for remembering*

*Soon as Sai finished speaking, the shimmering golden form of the being known as Sentinel appeared within the manse, standing tall and proud as he usually did*

Oh, I'm afraid I didn't. It seems only right for the Empress to have a powerful spirit in her Manse as well. My mistake..
*Lirimana chuckled a little and shrugged at the notion. She really shouldn't be so surprised about it, she knew that Arachnia had a splendid Manse and Gods knows the Twilight would love to have a look. But for now she had business to attend to. Lirimana turned and looked at Sentinel. Damn.. she always forgot how attractive he was...*
hello, Sentinel. There is something that you can do for me; I want to talk with Quar-Zagot as soon as possible. It is highly likely that he has information that will be extremely helpful on the investigation. Also, I was wondering if Zeriku would lend me Arachnia's Manse so that I could be taken right to him. As you know, I travel at a much slower rate than I would like.
