*Ame watched as Wave's expression turned to horror, warring between satisfied that he found her to be a threat and sad that she had let it get this way. The anger still pulsed and pumped through her as she looked at the two men and at Tari. She reached out and snatched the medallion that Dagon had tossed to her and glanced at it, not wanting to take her gaze off of the threat in front of her. It took her a moment to notice the funny aura around her, but she took it in stride, noticing the effect it had on people. She let an almost wicked grin spread across her face, but mostly she was proud to wear Dagon's legacy and be the catalyst that woke it up*
Apparently it can be, and is
*at Dagon's request, Ame's face creased as she tried to come to a quick decision. Her heart was torn between protecting her husband and protecting her empire at her husband's desire*
I.. Dagon...
*she sent a glare at Wave before she knelt in front of Dagon. Taking his face in her hands, she pressed her lips against his, her eyes closing for a moment as she gives of her passion. When she breaks apart from him, she looks into Dagon's eyes and smiles*
I love you more than life itself. Our child needs their father, so you better come back to me in one piece
*standing, Ame looked straight at Wave again*
If I find that you've hurt my husband over your closed stupidity, you will be shipped back to the Blessed Isle in as many pieces as I can make
*with sword in hand, Ame reluctantly joined Tari in the armory, stalking toward the power armor so that she can put it on and get back to Dagon as soon as possible*

* Dagon kept his hands on his knees as he kissed Ame, still sitting in pow position. His mind raced as he thought about how to get out of this situation, but then allowed himself to relax, putting his trust in the chant that had become a a cornerstone of his life*
" Thank you Ame.... I will see you very soon"
* Tari grabbed Ame's armor and though the help of charms, got it on her lightning fast.*
" Now take a moment to let the armor become one with you. Your anima should attune to it and when it does, the helmet will bring up a display which will make controls for the armor come easy. I have heard legends about these first age gems, but was never allowed into the Immaculat Armory to see them. Lets waste no time."
* Tari took Ame's hand and lead her outside and into the starless night, where they say teams of small dark figures scurrying around. Guards fought hard all around, and even seemed to be holding their own, but there were too many to catch, and they did not seem to be there to cause war. Tari turned to Ame, taking her other hand in hers as her helmet's visor lifted to reveal her eyes*
"Ame... If any of the rumors are true, Dagon will be fine. Wave... I know how he gets sometimes. He is not a bad man... but do not worry... Wave was fifteenth in his class at The House of Bells... but Dagon was number one!"
* Tari smiled as her visor lowered. She let go of Ame's hands and rushed to the chaos before her, not bothering to make sense of it*

*Ame let Tari help her into her armor, listening to what the woman had to say about their husbands. As her armor came in tune with her, Ame mulled over what Tari had said about the two probably fighting already not very far away. She just hoped that Wave didn't have some sort of dirty, underhanded trick to kill Dagon with. Feeling her anger resurge, Ame decided to harness it and use it in the coming fights. Despite it, a twinge of sadness went through her as she realized that her first real-life war scenario wouldn't be with Dagon after all*
Funny side to take
*following Tari off into the battle, she kept her heirloom blade at the ready, planning to end this as fast as she could so that she could return to Dagon and find out if she had to make good on her promise*

* The scene before them soon became strange as the scurrying aberrations began packing together and oddly enough, started picking people up and hanging them by their clothing into nearby trees. The nearby water churned as many "somethings" swam near the surface. People in the trees clung tightly to them, not wanting to get down for fear of these creepy things*
* Tari looked around at the strange chaos before her, her face completely covered by the armor, but her posture spoke volumes about how she was feeling*
" Ame.. I am confused.. I don't know what to handle first... I want to take care of the water... but there has to be a reason for people in the trees and it can't be good... and what about these... things! I have never had to lead a combat situation before"

*Looking at the oddities before them, Ame had to agree with Tari*
I'm not sure what they are up there for, and I have never run point on a physical combat situation either. That's one of the many reasons I wanted Dagon here, he has so much more experience....
*Ame shook off the bit of sadness, feeling her anger wane as she began to prioritize the situation*
Okay, I say we handle the little packs of those creatures first, but keep an eye out on the people in the trees so that they don't fall out and get hurt before we can get to them. Then we get the people down and take care of the water monster if needed. Sound good? Do you think those dark things would listen to reason and help out?

* Tari looked out at the churning water, then back at Ame, shaking her head as soon as the question was muttered*
" I do not believe so... Then we will rescue the people from the trees, then see what is going on from there. Lets go!"
* Tari, using the augmented strength of her power armor, leaps into a tree and scooped up a family of three, before hopping back down and setting them free*
" I do not understand why they are doing this... but there is no doubt in my mind that it is nefarious."

Okay, Tari, why don't we start tossing the black things into the water and see if whatever is in there will eat them, thus making it easier for us all around. No matter what, we need to watch each other's backs
*Ame offered Tari a quick smile, lifting her blade as she hoped to scare the creatures into the water*

* Tair's hands glowed a deep blue as her essence surged through the lenses in her bracers. Water appeared in her hands as she concentrated. She then tossed the bolts of water at two darkbrood, sending them back into the water. With a flick of her wrist, Tari summoned the water back into her hands, ready for yet another toss*
" Okay! Lets hope they can't swim or that whatever is out there ill eat them!"
* The water churned even more as whatever was in it became more excited. Soon, A great segmented worm brought its toothy maw out of the water and swallowed up the darkbrood whole*

*Ame's mouth dropped open a little as the huge worm thing came up. She hadn't seen anything that large in their rivers before. Let's hope it was only temporary, that wouldn't be something to keep in a river where people swim and fish*
Holy Daana'd, that thing is huge! Let's hope its stomach is as big as it looks
*Without another thought, Ame ran forward, adapting her pace to the appropriate stride she had learned to take with this armor on, brandishing her blade at the darkbrood, more intent on knocking them off the edge and into the gaping maw of the giant worm beast*

" That is an infernal worm. I have heard stories about the lintha summoning them to sink imperial ships! These things never stop eating... we need to do something about this, before this this eats all the fish in Imperveress!"
* The water in her hands became inert and fell in streams onto the sand at her feet*

*Ame turned to look at Tari as she gaped, still trying to back the shadow creatures into the infernal worm's gaping maw*
Things will be fine, Tari, we just have to take it in stride and solve each problem as we get to it. First problem is this group of beasties. Help me push them into the worm's mouth and we can deal with him after we get the people down. Sound good?
*Ame tried to keep her voice soothing so that Tari didn't get overwhelmed, but still hoping that she will come back to herself and help out*

" You don't understand! This thing is a menace! They destroy ecosystems and lay eggs at the ocean bottom! We need to stop them before they make West Bezair unlivable!"

*ugh. Ame grumbled a little at the hastiness that Tari exhibited, wondering how Roaring Wave put up with her not listening to anything outside of her own head*
Fine, we'll go leap into the maw of a giant worm, leaving people to die. Their lives are in your hands, Tari.
*now she gets to go save that crazy woman from a demon worm that she practically fed herself to. With a deep sigh, Ame took off after Tari*

" No, Ame. Take a closer look!The citizens in the trees are not in any danger, they are just in trees. The shadow things are harming nobody. The only true threat is this Infernal Worm! I will let you borrow my copy of 'The Thousand Correct Actions of the Upright Soldier'. It teaches a lot about stratagem."
* Tari leapt into the air, bringing her fist down on the top of the worm's head, letting out a lout 'CRACK' sound as the worm's outer carapace cracked under the strain of Tari's power armor augmented strike. The worm flailed a bit, dazed from the impact*
