*Kideshen was once more a bustling city filled with those scholarly or those who would seek to be. Exotic blooded mortals showed up by the thousands if one were to watch people walk by... undoubtedly due to the proximity to Great Forks.
As per many cities, religion was a quiet and personal thing, being so far from The Blessed Isle or any other religious state... but today was different. A deep green robed being, speaking in slurred yet purposeful speech stood on a heavy foot traffic road, preaching to anyone who would listen*
" And I know my end comes soon for what I speak... but I have been visited in dreams by The Great Sleeper, And his vision for is is far grander than your so called 'Emperor'. A being so great, that he remembers the very making of our fair Creation! Listen well to my words, because a time will come when our Unconquered Sun will be extinguished, and through The Great Sleeper, one may find the light inside! This world here is ... nice. But is is simply the skeletal work for something Spectacular! Forget the dreams of man and god, and put you fate into the hands of 'The Great Sleeper!'"
* The man had no large group of listeners.. perhaps thirteen people at most, with most of those only seeking entertainment... there there were a small number actually considering what was being spoken.
The man who spoke hid well under his robes, his hood drawn and his garbs baggy and if one were to get close, they would smell opium on him*

Descending Wood 19,
*Mabija was just returning from the early morning training session that he put his recruits through, his shirt white and fitted against his torso with strap sleeves and a pair of comfortable black pants and boots. His red hair was pulled back into a ponytail, the yellow tips collecting in a layered effect that played on his Aspect.
It didn't take long to notice the man as he passed by and heard his blasphemy. Part of him wanted to lay him out, but the opium that wafted back to his nose told him that the man must be crazy. Still, this was probably worth investigating in case the hooded stranger was only part of the problem. He stopped next to the crowd and looked as though he was listening intently, glad to have the scimitars sheathed at his hips just in case something went down.
When the suspicious man finished his initial speech Mabija nodded and took a step closer to him*
Your words intrigue me, sir, where can I learn more?
*he had leaned close to the man so that his whispered words would reach only as far as his ears, not wanting the others in this city to think he was serious about going against his Emperor*

* The man stopped his preaching and turned to Mabija, , then gave a snicker as he pulled his hood off.
Underneath the hood, he looked like an easterner... dark brown skin, black hair, tall... but his face was gaunt and his eyes red and bloodshot, as if he had not slept in years. he swayed as he began to cackle... then abruptly stopped, stareing directly at Mabija*
" Well then... very interesting... you would like to know more about The Great Sleeper?... well, you must find out like I did... by meeting him in your dreams.. or, if you find his deticated priests and the followers he granted him... but I do not believe you can do as such... go back to where you came from, youth.. I am here to preach until I am killed.... Just as I was charged by The Great Sleeper's High Priest."
* he then put his hood back up and continued his rant about his 'great sleeper'*

Descending Wood 19,
*Mabija took in the man's appearance, resisting the urge to smack him upside the head before he spoke again*
You're the only one I've ever seen talking about the Great Sleeper, thus you're the only one I could go to for answers. You don't seem to have faith in my ability to meet him, why is that? Is the Great Sleeper uninterested in new acolytes or is there something about me that id displeasing?
*a look of confusion crossed his face, an emotion that he was feeling a little of at the immediate denial to his questions. Was it because he was a Dragon Blooded? As much as he tried to pump himself up in his own mind as to how obvious it was what blood ran through his veins he couldn't deny that he really didn't look that different and that a lot of people didn't even know he was an Exalt at all...*

* The preacher began laughing once more.. but not as maniacal as before.. but more like an old man finding humor in something absurd a child had said*
" And why do you think you have what it takes to find his cult? they hide in the rural areas of this empire where no prying eyes can find. And their strength rivals that of the Exalted rulers of this empire. Now, if you are so interested there... you may receive visions in dreams from him."
* the preacher remained silent for the moment, seeming to be just as interested in Mabija as Mabija was in him*

Descending Wood 19,
Why not? All you need is a strong desire to do so and the way opens, does it not? The Great Sleeper may have many followers but every new one that joins can be a great and devout addition that can strengthen a cult even more. As a loyal follower would you say that the Great Sleeper would have no want of me?
*the worry in his face remained, though he added a bit of an indignant look his mind studying the man right back, the expression he wore lending to the look of a young man feeling he had every right to be in an up-and-coming-cult and did look like he wanted to be involved*

" I can not dictate the will of The Great Sleeper... only follow his words... if he wants you, he will find you... but as for me, I am here to tell of his coming... and when he comes.. he will consume The Imperial Manse and regain the strength he had in life..."
* The cultist began swaying as his speech became softer and softer, as if falling asleep himself... though he never actually falling asleep. The crowd the man had drawn quickly lost interest once his doom saying became a whisper*

*despite the look of pseudo sleep that the man was assuming, Mabija gave an earnest look at him, as though he really wanted this information... which he did*
Wait, I want to contact him... If he's dead, how can I do that?
*he looked around as the others who were watching the cultist mutter to himself dispersed and looked back at the man*
Tell me, I need to know!

" my my, young child.... Death might be the end for you and I... but for The Great Sleeper... Death is only a minor inconvenience... he may die many times, only to revive in the dreams of his followers... there is no killing The Great Sleeper... only his will which is destined to be done"
* the preacher swayed some more, still whispering in his drug induced stupor*

Descending Wood 19,
*Mabija sighed and rolled his eyes internally. He had been trying to keep away from this mode of conduct for information, but desperate times called for desperate measures. Well, maybe he wasn't desperate, but it would help alleviate the aggravation. With a swift motion he had drawn his scimitar, the flames erupting as soon as the metal was out of the sheath and had the tip near the man's face, no doubt the heat of the burning weapon uncomfortable so close to the man's flammable skin*
If you don't want to play nice and tell me what I want to know then maybe you would like to explain to the Great Sleeper how you let a Dragon-Blooded pass by
*his usually genial expression turned harsh as he bared his teeth at the man in front of him, knowing the destruction that the fire could wreak on the cloth and flesh nearby*
((6 suxx to intimidate the guy into more info))

* The doomsayer lurched back as the flaming blade shot into his face. his eyes were wide and no longer sleepy, despite the obvious drug use. His whole body shook as he looked at the weapon in his face*
"What do you want to know! I can't answer questions unasked!"
* The sound of his voice was not the sound of a stoic proest or devout monk.. this was the sound of a child who was scared for his life, who did not fully understand the place he was in in his life*

Descending Wood 19,
Better... I want to know how to get in touch with the head of his cult and who he was before he was the Great Sleeper. We'll start there and you'd better be forthcoming.
*the blade stayed where it was, and Mabija allowed the space the man had made between himself and the weapon to remain, knowing that all it would take was a thrust and he could skewer him easily*

" Eh.. I don't know! I only know some of the Cult' members! I had a couple dreams with the great sleeper in it! He was saying to come to him and he would grant me power! The cult told me I needed to come here and preach the cult till I died, otherwise they would kill me. I really don't want to do this, but I don't want to die!"
* He shivered as he stood there, scared for his life now that he spoke, but scared this fire dragon would kill him too*
" The Great Sleeper is some kind of ancient monster that the rulers of the first age did not fully kill, and it has been trying to grow back ever since!"

Descending Wood 19,
*the Dragon-Blooded's grimace broadened but he looked mostly satisfied at the progression of things*
Good. Now, let's decide if you're more afraid of them or me. My way, you take me and show me where the others are meeting so I can get the involvement I want or something terrible will happen to you. I don't know what your way is but I assure you that mine has the best chances for your future.
*the leer was directed fully at the quivering man and he continued with it as he waited for an answer*

* The shuddering man reached into his pocket and came out with a worn and frayed peice of paper, of which he held out for the Dragon-Blooded to take. he said nothing, too paralyzed by fear to say a word*
